What time of year should I visit Epic Universe?
There isn't one "best" time to visit Epic Universe, as it depends on your priorities. For seasons, you'll want to consider high volume areas, special events, and available promotions.
If your top priority is avoiding the crowds, look for low-demand time periods with better discounts. However, if you care about special events and/or your schedule restricts it, higher-demand seasons might be your only option.
Different days of the week also offer different advantages and disadvantages. As a rule of thumb, Sundays are often the least crowded while Mondays are the most crowded – this is highly variable, though, and can be subject to weather, special events, and more.
What is the food policy at Epic Universe?
Universal's official food policy generally does not allow you to bring in outside food or drinks, especially alcohol. But there are a few instances where food and/or drink is permitted: Park policy allows you to bring in up to 2 liters of bottled water, and a small amount of food in specific circumstances (for example, carbohydrates for a diabetic).
Coolers also face restrictions: Only a soft-sided cooler smaller than 8.5"x6"x6" is allowed. Regardless of your food situation, you are allowed to bring in a refillable water bottle.
Can you get free water in the park?
Yes! Universal Orlando ensures water bottle refilling stations are widely available in its parks, and Epic Universe is no exception.
But even if you don't have a water bottle, you don't have to be dehydrated. The dining areas around the park will give you free water cups.
Can I wear a backpack in Epic Universe?
It's allowed (and even a good idea) to bring a bag or a backpack on your trip to Epic Universe. Just keep in mind that it will need to go through security.
Keep safety in mind, though – you'll have to store your backpack in a locker before going on some of the rides. These lockers use photo validation technology as a locking mechanism.
Is Epic Universe cash-free?
Epic Universe is not a cash-free park. The only park that is currently cashless at Universal Orlando is Volcano Bay.
The key thing to keep in mind is that ordering with cash may result in longer waits than ordering through the app, at least for food. If you use the app, you can enter your order at any time and just pick it up when it's ready.
How early should you arrive at Epic Universe?
Ideally, you should arrive at Epic Universe at least half an hour before opening. Generally, the park will open at 10:00 in the morning, while letting people with Early Park Admission in an hour early (this can vary depending on events and projected attendance).
