On-Site Hotels
Description: Universal provides access to hotels that are located on-property, including the Helios Grand, Stella Nova, and Terra Luna.
Pros: You can often get into the park early to avoid the crowds. You may also get a deal for Express Passes.
Cons: Without deals, these are likely some of the more expensive places to stay.
Off-Site Hotels

Short-Term Vacation Rentals

Cons: These can be inconsistent, and you likely won't receive the same level of service as you would at a hotel.
Waco, TX, Epic Universe Vacation Planning FAQs
How long should an Epic Universe vacation be?
The ideal length of time depends on what your goals are for the trip. If you only want to see your top attractions, you can probably do so in 1 day. To visit everything, you'll want at least 2 days in the park.
The other thing to consider is if you want to do anything besides visit Epic Universe as a part of your trip. You can spend more time in the other parks, and/or exploring the Orlando area.
How do I determine the right time for my Epic Universe vacation?
When you visit Epic Universe should reflect what you value most in your vacation. For seasons, you'll want to think about crowds, special events, and available promotions.
Lower-demand periods often have fewer crowds and better deals, but holidays can draw people back in. However, if you care about special events and/or your schedule restricts it, higher-demand seasons might be your only option.
You should also think about what day(s) of the week you want to visit. Sundays are generally the least crowded days, while Mondays tend to have the longest wait times – keep in mind, though, that these are variable and can be subject to weather, special events, and more.
What is the food policy at Epic Universe?
External food and drinks are not generally permitted under Universal's official food policy. That said, there are limited circumstances where you can: Park policy allows you to bring in up to 2 liters of bottled water, as well as food required for medical reasons, special dietary needs, and/or baby food.
If you are allowed to bring in food, you'll face restrictions on the size of your cooler as well (up to the size of 8.5"x6"x6" is allowed). Regardless of your food situation, you are allowed to bring in a refillable water bottle.
Can you get free water in the park?
Yes! Epic Universe makes it easy to stay hydrated during your time in the park. If you remember your water bottle, there are several water refill stations scattered throughout the park.
But even if you don't have a water bottle, you don't have to be dehydrated. The dining areas around the park will give you free water cups.
Can I bring a bag to Epic Universe?
You can bring a bag or backpack to Epic Universe. It will have to go through security and needs to pass an inspection before entry.
One thing to consider is how big of a pack to bring with you. Because several of the rides don't allow packs, you'll want something that you can store in a locker if necessary. These lockers use facial recognition technology to provide a seamless locker experience.
Is Epic Universe cash-free?
Epic Universe is not a cash-free park. Universal has started experimenting with a cashless park in Volcano Bay, but this has yet to apply to Epic Universe.
Some people still prefer to avoid cash in Epic Universe, particularly for food. If you use the app, you can enter your order at any time and just pick it up when it's ready.
When should you get to the park?
If you can, you should try to get to the park half an hour early. Generally, the park will open at 10:00 in the morning, while letting people with Early Park Admission in an hour early (this can vary depending on events and projected attendance).
When planning your schedule, don't forget to account for travel time and getting through security.
As soon as people get in, they tend to go to the most popular rides. There isn't one best way to handle the crowds: You can either try to get ahead of them, or look for attractions that aren't as busy.
