On-Site Hotels
Description: Universal provides access to hotels that are located on-property, including the Helios Grand, Stella Nova, and Terra Luna.

Cons: These tend to be more expensive options, and most rooms aren't very large.
Off-Site Hotels
Description: If you are okay staying off-site, there are plenty of other options in Orlando.

How long does it take to fully explore Epic Universe?
An Epic Universe vacation should be 2 days if you want to see everything the park has to offer, or just 1 day if you only care about the highlights.
The other thing to consider is if you want to do anything besides visit Epic Universe as a part of your trip. You can spend more time in the other parks, and/or exploring the Orlando area.
How do I determine the right time for my Epic Universe vacation?
Different people will have different "best" times to visit Epic Universe. Regarding time of year, you'll want to consider crowds, special events, and deals.
If your top priority is avoiding the crowds, look for low-demand time periods with better discounts. On the other hand, higher-demand seasons may have higher prices, but also more special events and (typically) easier scheduling.
You should also think about what day(s) of the week you want to visit. As a rule of thumb, Sundays are often the least crowded while Mondays are the most crowded – this is highly variable, though, and can be subject to the particulars of any given day.
Can I bring food into Epic Universe?
External food and drinks are not generally permitted under Universal's official food policy. But there are a few instances where food and/or drink is permitted: Park policy allows you to bring in up to 2 liters of bottled water, as well as food required for medical reasons, special dietary needs, and/or baby food.
Coolers also face restrictions: Only a soft-sided cooler smaller than 8.5"x6"x6" is allowed. Regardless of your food situation, you are allowed to bring in a refillable water bottle.
Can you get free water in the park?
Yes! Universal Orlando ensures water bottle refilling stations are widely available in its parks, and Epic Universe is no exception.
If you don't have a water bottle, most of the park's dining locations will also have free water cups available.
Can I wear a backpack in Epic Universe?
You can bring a bag or backpack to Epic Universe. Don't forget that it will have to go through a security inspection prior to you entering the park.
The main thing to keep in mind is what size backpack to bring – you'll likely have to store it in a short-term locker for some of the rides, so something smaller is generally better. These lockers use facial recognition technology to provide a seamless locker experience.
Is Epic Universe cash-free?
Epic Universe is not a cash-free park. While Universal's Volcano Bay went cashless in February of 2026, this has not yet extended to other parks at the resort.
Some people still prefer to avoid cash in Epic Universe, particularly for food. The app makes it convenient to order your food early without waiting in line.
When should you get to the park?
If you can, you should try to get to the park half an hour early. The park formally opens around 10:00 AM, with Early Park Admission an hour beforehand (this can vary depending on events and projected attendance).
Be sure to include extra time for transit and security.
As soon as people get in, they tend to go to the most popular rides. You can either try to beat the crowd, or visit somewhere else while the lines are shorter and loop back later.
