Description: On-site hotels like the Helios Grand, Stella Nova, and Terra Luna are all owned and operated by Universal and are located on-property at the resort.

Off-Site Hotels

How do I determine the right time for my Epic Universe vacation?

When you visit Epic Universe should reflect what you value most in your vacation. In a broad sense, you'll want to think about high volume areas, events, and deals.

Lower-demand periods often have fewer crowds and better deals, but holidays can draw people back in. On the other hand, higher-demand seasons may have higher prices, but also more special events and (typically) easier scheduling.

Different days of the week also offer different advantages and disadvantages. Sundays are generally the least crowded days, while Mondays tend to have the longest wait times – this can be consistent, though, and can be subject to weather and special events.

You can bring a bag or backpack to Epic Universe. Don't forget that it will have to go through a security inspection prior to you entering the park.

Keep safety in mind, though – you'll have to store your backpack in a locker before going on some of the rides. These lockers use photo validation technology as a locking mechanism.

Is Epic Universe cash-free?

Epic Universe is not a cash-free park. While Universal's Volcano Bay went cashless in February of 2026, this has not yet extended to other parks at the resort.

Some people still prefer to avoid cash in Epic Universe, particularly for food. The app allows you to order ahead of time and skip the line.

When should you get to the park?

Ideally, you should arrive at Epic Universe at least half an hour before opening. Generally, the park will open at 10:00 in the morning, while letting people with Early Park Admission in an hour early (keep in mind that park hours are variable).
