Plan Ahead

If you have your heart set on staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort, or dining at Be Our Guest or Cinderella's Royal Table, it's essential to plan your Disney vacation at least six months in advance. Not only does this ensure that you'll score reservations at the spots you want to dine or stay at most, but it lets you check for the best deals and promotions on airfare, budget for various trip-related expenses, and avoid the stress of making last-minute plans.

Like you, other busy families are planning visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth and hoping to score FastPasses to meet & greets with their favorite characters, to their favorite shows, and at their favorite restaurants. Once tickets are sold-out, and seats are filled, it can be challenging to get into your favorite attractions and accommodations.

Utilize Extra Magic Hour

When planning your Disney vacation, it's important to narrow down what theme parks you want to visit the most, determine when/if they offer Extra Magic Hour, and develop your trip's itinerary accordingly to ensure you'll be able to score a seat at your favorite attractions, such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

Arrive to the Parks Early

If there are popular rides or attractions that you want to visit or ride, it's essential to arrive at the park entrance before opening time - arriving early ensures that you'll be able to ride any of the popular rides you want without waiting an hour+, and see any attractions without the large crowds.

Use FastPass+ & Select Them at 60 Days

60 days before your trip, you'll be able to book FastPasses that allow you to skip the line for all of your favorite rides, such as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Haunted Mansion, Mad Tea Party, and Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid.

Be Ready to Book Dining at 180 Days

Character dining tends to fill up quickly and is located in unique venues that let guests get as close as possible to their favorite Disney characters, such as Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, Mickey and Goofy, Star Wars characters, and more. If you want to experience the magic of character dining or score a seat at your favorite theme restaurant, be sure to book your dining reservations as far in advance as possible (at minimum, 180 days before your trip).
