On-Site Hotels
Description: On-site hotels like the Helios Grand, Stella Nova, and Terra Luna are all owned and operated by Universal and are located on-property at the resort.
Pros: The travel time is next to zero, especially if you stay at the Helios Grand. You may also get a deal for Express Passes.
Cons: Without deals, these are likely some of the more expensive places to stay.
Off-Site Hotels
Description: Orlando is home to many hotel options that are within driving distance of the Epic Universe park.
Pros: These options are easier to afford and make it easier to do non-Universal activities.
Cons: Travelling to Epic Universe will take longer, and you'll be arriving later than the people who stayed on-site
Short-Term Vacation Rentals
Description: Temporary rentals from a property owner.
Pros: This is often the most spacious and personal option of where to stay.
Cons: These can be inconsistent, and you likely won't receive the same level of service as you would at a hotel.

How long does it take to fully explore Epic Universe?
An Epic Universe vacation should be 2 days if you want to see everything the park has to offer, or just 1 day if you only care about the highlights.
Another popular option is to extend your trip for a full Universal Orlando vacation. Spending 5-6 days gives you enough time to explore all of the parks, and possibly some of the other parts of Orlando.
When is the best time to visit Epic Universe?
When you visit Epic Universe should reflect what you value most in your vacation. Regarding time of year, you'll want to think about high volume areas, special events, and available promotions.
If your top priority is avoiding the crowds, look for low-demand time periods with better discounts. However, if you care about special events and/or your schedule restricts it, higher-demand seasons might be your only option.
You should also think about what day(s) of the week you want to visit. Sundays are generally the least crowded days, while Mondays tend to have the longest wait times – keep in mind, though, that these are variable and can be subject to weather, special events, and more.
What is the food policy at Epic Universe?
Universal's official food policy generally does not allow you to bring in outside food or drinks, especially alcohol. But there are a few instances where food and/or drink is permitted: Park policy allows you to bring in up to 2 liters of bottled water, as well as food required for medical reasons, special dietary needs, and/or baby food.
If you are allowed to bring in food, you'll face restrictions on the size of your cooler as well (up to the size of 8.5"x6"x6" is allowed). Whether or not you're bringing in a cooler, it is a good idea to bring in a refillable water bottle.
Are there places to fill your water bottle at Epic Universe?
Yes! Epic Universe makes it easy to stay hydrated during your time in the park. If you remember your water bottle, there are several water refill stations scattered throughout the park.
If you don't have a water bottle, most of the park's dining locations will also have free water cups available.
Can I bring a bag to Epic Universe?
You can bring a bag or backpack to Epic Universe. Just keep in mind that it will need to go through security.
The main thing to keep in mind is what size backpack to bring – you'll likely have to store it in a short-term locker for some of the rides, so something smaller is generally better. These lockers use photo validation technology to ensure each guest has access to their items.
Is Epic Universe cash-free?
Epic Universe is not a cash-free park. Universal has started experimenting with a cashless park in Volcano Bay, but this has yet to apply to Epic Universe.
Some people still prefer to avoid cash in Epic Universe, particularly for food. The app makes it convenient to order your food early without waiting in line.
How early should you arrive at Epic Universe?
To avoid the lines as much as possible, try to be at the gates 30 minutes early. Generally, the park will open at 10:00 in the morning, while letting people with Early Park Admission in an hour early (this can vary depending on events and projected attendance).
Be sure to include extra time for transit and security.
As the park opens, the top attractions are most people's first stop. There isn't one best way to handle the crowds: You can either try to get ahead of them, or look for attractions that aren't as busy.
