Schedule table service dining Anytime I take my children to Disney by myself, I make sure to reserve table service meals for us while in the parks. Time to set that alarm! Yes, I know, you’re on vacation but trust me, you do not want to miss a minute of Universal Orlando Resorts early park admission. This awesome perk is for Universal resort guests and other select groups to access either Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, or Volcano Bay one hour before the scheduled opening. During extra busy times, it could be both parks but remember valid theme park admission is required. When checking in, be sure to ask a team member which park has early hours as it does change often. For families with little girls, booking a princess meal at Disney World is high on the must-do list but with multiple princess meal options – which one is best suited for your family? Cinderella’s Royal Table is located in Cinderella’s Castle. Hosted by Cinderella, you will have your family picture taken with her as you wait to be seated. After heading upstairs, other Disney princesses stop by your table to visit, allowing for pictures and autographs. For those with a dining package, this meal will cost two table service credits per person. Without a dining package, the cost per person will be one of the more expensive meals on property. Sometimes, when you hear “We’re going to Disney World”, all you see are dollar signs. As with everything at Disney, great planning can help you to save money and stay right on budget! One of my favorite, not-so-little secrets, is to save some serious cash and go shopping for souvenirs at Disney’s Character Warehouse. When park merchandise isn’t sold, some of it is shipped to one of the two Character Warehouse outlet stores to be sold at heavily discounted prices. You can find anything from keychains, stuffed animals and shirts, to name brand designer bags. Both stores are located at a premium outlet mall, a short off-property drive. The mall names are very similar, but they are in different locations around Orlando. Tiffins Restaurant is a Disney Signature restaurant located in the Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The menu contains items representing African, Indian, and South American and is open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is inspired by the travels of the Imagineers explorations when they were creating the Animal Kingdom park. When dining at this location, be sure you take time to visit each of the three separate dining rooms. The separate rooms are referred to as galleries because they are themed and filled with select artwork. The waitstaff is eager to share the background of each room and art pieces. As a mom of 4, I travel with food for when hunger strikes. While vacationing at Disney there is a myriad of wonderful dining options to please your palate. I often find I still like to have items on hand which include: fruit, bottled water, cereal/pop tarts, and granola bars.
