As a mom of 4, I travel with food for when hunger strikes. While vacationing at Disney there is a myriad of wonderful dining options to please your palate. I often find I still like to have items on hand which include: fruit, bottled water, cereal/pop tarts, and granola bars. When my kids were babies, I also packed diapers and wipes which were essential items. For guests flying to Disney, you may not have a car to head out to the store, but these grocery delivery services can help and you do not need to go grocery shopping while you’re on vacation!
When ordering groceries from one of the delivery services, make sure to include the following information:
- Name on the reservation
- Reservation Number
- Arrival Date
- Resort Address
When your grocery order has been brought to your resort, it will be delivered to Bell Services. There is a cooler area at Bell Services for the storing of any perishables. You can choose to pick your order up from Bell Services or for a $6 fee, you may have Bell Services deliver it to your room. At this time, if you are staying at the Swan and Dolphin Resort, they do not allow grocery delivery services.
Amazon Prime Now
This service is exclusively available to Amazon Prime Members. Groceries or anything you may need while on vacation may be ordered via their website or app. One of the best perks of using Amazon Prime Now is their amazing turnaround time! You may receive your order in 2 hours or less! If you set up your order of at least $35 worth of products to be delivered in 2 hours, there will not be a delivery fee. When requesting delivery in 1 hour, you will be charged a fee of $7.99. Amazon Prime Now runs 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Shipt and Instacart
Shipt and Instacart are grocery delivery services that have become wildly popular! They are a membership based grocery service that utilizes personal shoppers. To become a member, there is a yearly fee of $99, or a monthly fee of $14 for shipt and $10 for Instacart. You can shop for your grocery order via their app or website. There is no cost for members on deliveries of $34 or more. You may choose not to be a member of Instacart and pay a delivery fee between $5.99-$7.99.
Garden Grocer
Garden Grocer is a delivery service where you can place your order via their website or app. You create an account, pick a delivery window, and check out. The cost for Garden Grocer is $14 delivery fee, plus the cost of food. Garden Grocer requests that you place your order at least 2 days prior to delivery. They do accept next-day delivery for a charge of $20, or same day delivery for a charge of $30.
Garden Grocer does offer a discount for early ordering:
- 15 days early= 5%
- 30 days early= 7%
- 60 days early= 10%
Wal-Mart Grocery Delivery is available from the local Orlando Wal-Mart. When you go to place your grocery order, you will need to create a Wal-Mart delivery account. You will be asked for the zip code in Orlando which is 32830. The fee for delivery ranges from $7.95 to $11.95, depending on the delivery window you choose. It is important to place your order early as delivery times fill up quite quickly!
