Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! We all know this magical phrase from childhood. It immediately conjures up visions of Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother, and that magic wand! During my last trip to Disneyland, I had the opportunity to see a real-life Fairy Godmother-in-training work her own makeover magic on my daughter at the in-park Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
If you haven’t experienced the magic of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, it’s an incredible experience where your child can transform into the Princess or Knight of their dreams! The different packages to pick from include everything from a shirt, bag, nail polish, makeup and hairstyle all the way up to including a full Princess gown and tiara.
The day my daughter had a reservation at the boutique, we checked in right at her scheduled time. We were quickly brought into the “royal chamber” and acquainted with her very own “Fairy Godmother-in-Training.” After showing us what was included in each of the options, we were asked which makeover package she would like. My daughter opted for a makeover package that came with a tutu and a t-shirt. If you already own a Princess dress, you can bring one from home. If you forgot yours or would like to select a new one, they are available at the boutique. The dresses there range from a size 3 to a size 14. Select styles have extended sizes that go from 5/6P to 16/18P. There are changing rooms on site for your convenience!
Once your child has selected their hairstyle and accessories, you will be shown into the transformation area. Here they will sit in a salon-style chair to have the nails painted, hair fixed, and makeup applied! And just wait until the transformation is complete!
I think my daughter’s favorite part of the boutique was when the announced her by name to everyone there and revealed her makeover- to the applause of the entire boutique! And the magic isn’t just about transformation- when your child’s makeover is complete, take a close look at the magic mirror on the wall and see what appears!
Before you book this experience, it’s important to remember that all children utilizing the boutique must be between the ages of 3 and 12 at the time of the appointment. Their scalp must be free from any scalp or skin issues that would prevent the Fair Godmothers from styling their hair.

After your child’s transformation, make sure you get your child’s photo taken across the walkway in the photo studio. My daughter was entitled to a free photo with a Disney character- it was the Fairy Godmother herself! The photos were taken in front of a beautiful backdrop of a carriage, and we were given digital copies to download!
Altogether, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was the most magical experience my daughter could have asked for. Everyone, from the ladies at check-in to her Fairy Godmother-in-training, to the Fairy Godmother herself made her feel so special. And she was! At Disneyland, all little girls are Princesses!
