Lights, Camera, Action! Welcome to Disney’s All Star Movies Resort. The All-Star Movies resort is one of three All Star value resorts on Disney property. This resort will get your family into the scenes of some of your favorite legendary Disney movies. I had the opportunity to stay at All Star Movies resort with my family. My kids were enamored by the gigantic character scenes that were located in each of the 5 different themed areas of the resort. These huge scenes are perfect photo opportunities for your family! The rooms (both preferred and standard) are 260 sq. feet and have 2 double beds. They can accommodate a family of four. They can accommodate a family of five if one of the children is under the age of 3 and sleeping in a Pack N’ Play. The rooms do come with a mini fridge, flat screen TV, wireless internet, hair […]

The Hyatt Regency at Orlando International Airport is a lovely alternative for a 1 night stay surrounding your full vacation. Located on B side terminal, the Hyatt provides restaurants, bars, waiting areas, free lobby wi-fi, conference rooms and ballrooms to guests and visitors. To those staying at the Hyatt, free in-room wi-fi, plush bedding, in-room fridge, flat screen tv’s, room service, and a rooftop pool (with poolside room service!) are just some of the luxurious amenities provided. Surrounding the terminal, large rooms provide guests with a soundproof experience, black out curtains for uninterrupted sleep, and valet service for bags and/or your car. Soundproof rooms are not a misnomer. While there are some terminal sounds you may hear, if your balcony faces it (other rooms face the outer perimeter of the airport), you will have a quiet night sleep. My family could not tell we were at the airport! The […]

One of the best tips for making the most of your time at Walt Disney World is to stay in the parks for your meals. While there are many great table service selections in Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, there are only a handful available in Animal Kingdom. With the new Pandora expansion, more and more guests are wanting to spend time in Animal Kingdom so a table service meal inside the park is usually the best way to have a meal break without wasting time traveling to another part of Walt Disney World. I'm introducing you to one of my favorite spots to grab a bite to eat - Yak & Yeti! Nestled in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom lies one of the most overlooked restaurants in all of Walt Disney World: The Yak & the Yeti. This restaurant is often overshadowed by Tusker House. However, this […]

Learn all about The World of Avatar! Alpha Centauri Expeditions {ACE} has made it possible for humans to explore Pandora. Unique expeditions and breathtaking views are around every corner in the Valley of Mo'ara on Pandroa. Pandora features floating mountains, gentle waterfalls, bioluminescent rainforest and amazing, flying creatures known as Banshees or "Ikran" by the Na'vi. Stepping into the land of Mo'ara, guests are immediately transformed by the beauty of the flora that surrounds them. The plant life is diverse in both color and size, as well as in purpose. For example, Vein Pods act as sponges and help maintain stability in the environment. Puffball Trees are important plants on Pandora for detoxifying the atmosphere. Panopyra resemble Earth's jellyfish and captures water and minerals from the dew and fog. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with different elements in nature as well. For example, when you rub a native plant, the Flaska Reclinata, it releases its spores […]

As much as I enjoy the tradition and nostalgia of long-standing attractions at Walt Disney World, I also enjoy trying something new! Somehow, over the many trips, I missed the opportunity to enjoy, until now! I was planning a girls' weekend at the Food and Wine Festival and stumbled upon information about this hidden gem! I was instantly intrigued! We knew this would certainly be at the top of our list! The entrance is just inside to the right in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot. When we arrived, there was a lengthy line, but after all of our research, we knew it was worth the wait. After being in the line for only a minute or two, we realized we were in the line to get a margarita to go! We then noticed there was a cast member near the entrance, and she was seating guests inside. We were immediately seated! […]

No Disney Fan’s adventures would be complete without a trip to Walt’s boyhood home of Marceline, MO! Nestled about an hour and a half north of Columbia, MO, this quaint town exudes charm and Disney History around every corner! Take the Disney tour of Marceline - the Walt Disney Hometown Museum containing personal letters, photos, and other Disney artifacts - guided by volunteers who met and housed Walt himself on his numerous visits “back home”. See where the Original Midget Autopia from Disneyland Park was relocated to at Walt Disney Municipal Park. You can then visit the Disney Family Farm and the Disney Barn...as well as see (what’s left of) Walt’s Dreaming Tree - where it’s said that Walt dreamed of being a cartoonist. In the barn, leave your legacy by signing the interior walls, and bask in the wide open spaces of the surrounding farm. Next, walk down the […]
