Nothing quite compares to seeing Cinderella's Castle for the very first time...except maybe seeing it through your grandchild’s eyes. That spark of wonder, the unfiltered joy, the gasp of recognition when they spot their favorite character - this is the heart of Disney magic. And as a grandparent, you have the incredible opportunity to be part of those moments, right beside them. Even the youngest guests will delight in the music, colors, and surprises around every corner, and with thoughtful planning, this trip can become a memory they’ll remember forever - one filled with laughter, discovery, and you at the very center of it all. As someone who grew up visiting Disneyland with my grandmother, I can tell you firsthand: those trips leave a mark on your heart. Every memory of my childhood at the parks includes her whistling along to the music, chatting with the horticulturists outside "it’s a […]

As a frequent visitor to the Disneyland Resort, I’ve had the chance to dine at nearly every location across the property, from character breakfasts and seasonal experiences to signature dining and everything in between. I have to say, during my most recent visit, Great Maple at Pixar Place Hotel truly surprised me…in the best way possible. Located inside the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel, Great Maple is a stylish and modern American eatery that strikes just the right balance between comfort food and culinary creativity. It's a convenient stop for guests staying at any of Disneyland's three resort properties or guests venturing out in the Downtown Disney District. The Standout Meal of the Week I was previously invited to a tasting session of the entire menu, and I was both thrilled and impressed with the flavors of everything from the appetizers to their signature doughnuts. I returned recently for a […]

I’ve just returned from a truly magical visit to the Disneyland Resort in California, where I was honored to experience the official kickoff of the park’s 70th anniversary celebration! On July 17, 2025, Disneyland Park marked seven incredible decades of welcoming guests of all ages into a world of wonder, imagination, and joy. The celebration kicked off in unforgettable Disney fashion with Bob Iger, Josh D’Amaro, and a beloved cast of Disney characters welcoming guests into the park. Disney Legend Bob Gurr and Disney artist and historian Stacia Martin were also on hand greeting fans and even leading a special drawing class! There’s something unique about the atmosphere at Disneyland, especially during a milestone like this. The locals aren’t just guests. They are devoted Disney fans who show up for the big moments, exclusive entertainment, limited-edition merchandise (the 70th anniversary tapestry collection is absolutely stunning!), and, of course, the food. "To Infinity and Beyond!" That’s not just Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase — it should be your score strategy on one of Disneyland’s most fun rides: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters! If you’re anything like me, you LOVE some “friendly” competition on a Disney Ride, but whether you're a casual space ranger or an elite Galactic Hero, here's how you can maximize your score and impress Emperor Zurg himself. 🎯 What Is Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters? Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is a slow-moving interactive dark ride where you fire laser blasters at targets shaped like "Zs" to stop Zurg and rack up points. Each target has a different point value and your score climbs as you zap your way through the ride. 🔫 Know Your Blaster Each rider gets a blaster that you can aim freely — and a joystick to spin the ride vehicle. Unlike similar rides in other parks, Disneyland’s version […]

Once you arrive at the Disneyland Resort, there is no denying the magic that awaits you in the parks, but what’s even better than visiting the magic? Why staying in the magic, of course! My favorite Disneyland Resort hotel is the newly renovated Pixar Place Hotel. Located just outside of the Downtown Disney District, Pixar Place Hotel has so much to offer! Rooms Newly renovated rooms are beautifully themed in the Pixar animation style! You’ll notice subtle nods to some of your favorite characters from your favorite Pixar movies from the moment you step inside. Inside each room you’ll notice a mural of some classic Pixar pals, and don’t forget to take a look at the decorative pillow on your couch for a fun nod to the original “Pixar Ball” that we all remember! The standard room can sleep up to five adults, making it a great option for families! […]

The Disneyland Resort has so much to see and do throughout the year, and Southern California weather is always ready to welcome you! Whether you want to escape the cold temps at home, want to experience Disneyland's Food & Wine Festival, are looking for fun seasonal treats and attractions, or simply want to enjoy all the classic attractions of the parks after the big crowds have gone home, there is a season for you! SPRING (Mid-March – May 31) Crowd Levels: Spring is a wildly popular time to visit Disneyland. Spring Break crowds usually begin arriving around March 15 and remain fairly consistent through the end of April with a few weeks mixed in here and there with lighter crowds. Disneyland is known for being the original family theme park- for classic characters and attractions that we all know and love. Disneyland’s Pixar Fest is a new, in-park experience with some of the more recent characters you love in the most magical of settings- Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure. From now until August 4, you can catch your favorite Pixar characters at several specially themed events daily.
