As a frequent visitor to the Disneyland Resort, I’ve had the chance to dine at nearly every location across the property, from character breakfasts and seasonal experiences to signature dining and everything in between. I have to say, during my most recent visit, Great Maple at Pixar Place Hotel truly surprised me…in the best way possible.
Located inside the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel, Great Maple is a stylish and modern American eatery that strikes just the right balance between comfort food and culinary creativity. It's a convenient stop for guests staying at any of Disneyland's three resort properties or guests venturing out in the Downtown Disney District.
The Standout Meal of the Week
I was previously invited to a tasting session of the entire menu, and I was both thrilled and impressed with the flavors of everything from the appetizers to their signature doughnuts. I returned recently for a full meal, and, once again, Great Maple ended up being the standout dining experience of the week, even among some of the resort’s most popular restaurants.
On this visit, we enjoyed a handful of seasonal specials that deserve a spotlight:
Watermelon Feta Salad—They have upped the game by adding cucumber, red onion, and a delicious lime vinaigrette.
Peaches & Cream Doughnut—Everyone agreed this was a favorite!
We also reordered some of our tried-and-true favorites:
Great Maple BLT—Thick-cut bacon, ripe tomato, lettuce, and aioli on their amazing bread. Simple, satisfying, and always a winner.
Lemon Shrimp Pasta—A flavorful but light meal that's perfect to end a busy day.
Pair any meal with a Cafe Moto Cold Brew (especially on a warm day), and you’ve got a meal that’s both energizing and indulgent. (I recommend the Salted Caramel.)
Tips for the Best Experience
Reservations are recommended. Book lunch or an early dinner to avoid the heavier crowds. It’s a lovely midday retreat if you’re taking a break from the parks or arriving from Downtown Disney.
Don’t skip dessert! If you’re feeling too full (and it’s easy to be!), consider ordering a few of their signature doughnuts to go. They make a fantastic late-night snack back at your room or even an easy breakfast before heading into the parks.
Great Maple isn’t just a place to eat. It’s a destination worth planning for. Whether you’re staying at Pixar Place Hotel or just visiting the resort for the day, this charming eatery is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a good meal. The food is flavorful and fun, the atmosphere is calming, and the service has been consistently warm and attentive on each of my visits.
