Vacationing as a family should be memorable, exciting, and fun! But what if you’re traveling with a baby or toddler? Will your family be able to enjoy activities together? If you are headed to Disneyland, the answer is YES!

This post is a rewrite of the original Enjoying Disneyland with Babies and Toddlers published in June 2018.

As a travel agent who specializes in Disney vacations, one of the most common questions I’m asked is if there will be rides and attractions in which the entire family can take part — especially if there is a baby in tow. Thankfully, if you’re headed to Disneyland, you’re headed to the right place.

Disneyland Travel Agents - Traveling With Babies and Toddlers to Disney

So many attractions at the Disneyland parks have no height requirements — meaning that even the youngest members of your family can participate in the same rides and attractions as the rest of the family. On my baby’s first visit, she was only 5 months old, and she was able to ride nearly everything our family rode that day!

Here are the attractions I recommend for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers:

Disneyland Park

  • Alice in Wonderland (Fantasyland)
  • Casey Jr. Circus Train (Fantasyland)
  • Disneyland Railroad
  • Disneyland Monorail (Tomorrowland)
  • Dumbo (Fantasyland)
  • Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (Tomorrowland)
  • It’s a Small World (Fantasyland)
  • Jungle Cruise (Adventureland)
  • King Arthur Carrousel (Fantasyland)
  • Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway (Mickey’s Toontown)
  • Peter Pan’s Flight (Fantasyland)
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (Critter Country)

California Adventure

  • Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! (Hollywood Land)
  • Jessie’s Critter Carousel (Pixar Pier)
  • Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind (Pixar Pier)
  • The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure (Pixar Pier)
  • Pixar Pal-A-Round non-swinging (Pixar Pier)
  • Toy Story Midway Mania (Pixar Pier)
  • Turtle Talk with Crush (Hollywood Land)

And don’t forget that there is so much to do beyond just the attractions! My family especially loves meeting the characters, enjoying dining, parades, shows, and especially the play areas! My children’s favorite play area is Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard in Mickey’s Toontown! They could spend hours on the slides there! Disneyland has so much to offer! In California Adventure, my family also loves the Pixar Pier area for the games, Cars Land for the vibes, and we are always on the lookout for hidden Mickeys at any of the parks!

And when you’re in the parks, don’t forget about the amazing Baby Care Centers located in both Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure. They have changing facilities, a nursing mothers’ room, and even sell essentials, such as baby food, formula, and diapers.
