  • Everglazed Donuts at Disney Springs

3/15/2022 • Blog, Reviews, Walt Disney World • Who doesn't love a good donut? They certainly seem to be all the rage and we were glad to see this new addition to Disney World! So, while we were in Disney Springs this month, we decided to head over to check out Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. Our family loves us some donuts...and we were fresh off a 3 day trip to Universal where we enjoyed Voodoo Donuts for breakfast the morning before (I’ll talk a little bit more about how they compare below). First things first, I don’t love the location of this donut shop. It’s tucked way back over by the entrance to the orange garage. If you take the bus to Disney Springs or drive into one of the other garages, there’s a chance you would miss this completely. You really don’t even know it’s there unless you turn the corner. This does this delicious little […]

  • Sandals Barbados or Sandals Royal Barbados: Which One Do You Choose?

6/16/2023 • Reviews, Sandals & Beaches • Barbados might be one of our favorite islands for so many reasons. The turquoise water is breathtaking, the cliffs on the north side of the island are magnificent, and the people are amazing! What’s not to love? We had visited Barbados pre-Sandals so when we found out Sandals was coming to Barbados, we were beyond excited and were finally able to take a trip there recently. The easy decision was going; the tough decision was figuring out which Sandals resort in Barbados we wanted to visit! There are two Sandals resorts on the island, so we had to make the choice. Now, I get to help you explore the differences between them to decide which one is right for you. The great part is the resorts back up to one another and is only separated by a sidewalk along the perimeter of the resorts. In addition to that, Sandals resorts […]

  • Restaurant Review: Mythos at Islands of Adventure

1/1/2022 • Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • When you think of theme-park food, it doesn’t usually conjure up images of delectable cuisine, but Mythos at Islands of Adventure (IOA) changed that perception for us and all by happenstance. Jason and I just recently took a trip to Universal Orlando Resort and wanted to hit up IOA to ride Hagrid’s after a very relaxing day at Volcano Bay. (Side note: Hagrid’s might be the best ride I’ve ever ridden. I highly recommend it). Anyway, we were making our way through IOA when we encountered the “towering rock formations, cascading waterfalls, and ancient figures carved” into the rock that is the restaurant which was intriguing in and of itself. We took one look at the menu and knew right away we had to eat there! We were extremely fortunate as they were able to seat us in the indoor dining room within 10 minutes without reservations, although they do […]

  • Universal’s Endless Summer Resorts

12/18/2021 • Blog, Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • Surf’s up! Endless Summer: Surfside Inn and Dockside Inn, are two incredible new options for lodging during your next Universal stay! Located adjacent to each other, both Dockside and Surfside offer rooms with two queen beds with either a standard or pool view, but they also offer a second option for larger parties – two-bedroom suites! And the price point for these rooms is phenomenal! While the standard two queen rooms will comfortably sleep four, the family suites are larger at 440 square feet and will sleep up to six people! Both room types offer a single bathroom (the suite with double sinks), queen beds, ample storage, as well as a small kitchenette. Each kitchenette includes a microwave, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a picnic table – perfect for families! Downstairs you will find a full quick-service restaurant with grab and go options as well as made to order […]

  • Why Universal Orlando is Heaven for The Roller Coaster Lover in Your Family

12/8/2021 • Blog, Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • You’ve been to Disney many times. The food, the characters, the music, and the shows are all reasons for you to keep coming back. The roller coasters are themed well and so fun, but maybe a 5/10 on the thrill factor and you’re looking for an adrenaline rush. Look no further than Universal Orlando! There are so many high-intensity roller coasters at Universal Orlando that you will finish your day not knowing if you’re standing right side up! Here are a few of my “can’t miss” coasters at Universal Orlando: 1) Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure – Other than the fact that it being Harry Potter-themed automatically makes it awesome, this is the longest roller coaster ride in Florida. With speeds up to 50mph, this one isn’t slow either, and incorporating the story of being a student in a Magical Creatures Class, truly makes this coaster have it all. Location: […]

  • Themed Drinks at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter {Review}

12/2/2021 • Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • Traveling between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade takes you on a journey through The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You can see, feel, and even taste, yes taste what it’s like to live a day in the life of Harry Potter. Many great food and snack options are available, but the specialty drinks are something that’s not to be missed. It gets HOT in the Florida sun so cooling down with a refreshing drink will make your time much more enjoyable. I’m sure all the loyal Harry Potter fans are aware you can get Butterbeer, the staple drink in the Wizarding World. It can be found in several locations in both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. I love Butterbeer in all it’s forms, cold, hot, frozen, and even ice cream! The creamy butterscotch flavor can’t be beat and contrary to its name it is completely family-friendly. During my last trip to Diagon […]

  • Shutterbutton’s – Bring Home a Magical Memory of Your Time in Diagon Alley

11/30/2021 • Reviews, Tips, Universal Studios Orlando • They say a picture is worth 1000 words but a moving photo from your time spent at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? There aren’t enough words to express the fun and magic that you experience at Shutterbutton’s. Located in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, Shutterbutton’s is a wizard photography store that captures both moving and still photographs for wizards to share with their friends, even muggles. Sessions are available for up to 4 people at a time and are recorded in one of two simple photography rooms, each with a green screen and an old-fashioned camera. Props such as robes and wands can be borrowed but if you plan on purchasing either of these as souvenirs, I recommend you purchase them before your appointment so you can have them at your disposal. Ollivander's Wand Shop happens to be located across the road from Shutterbutton’s so you can first […]

  • Jurassic World Kid’s Suite

11/23/2021 • Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • Some 65 million years ago dinosaurs ruled the earth. Today an encounter with one of these massive creatures is impossible unless you visit Universal Orlando, then it’s totally possible! If you have a Dino loving kid in your family then a stay in a Jurassic World Kid’s Suite at Loews Royal Pacific Resort is a must. These 670 square feet 2-bedroom suites take you on an adventure to the Isla of Nublar. 2 twin-size gyrospheres in the kid’s room offer not only an awesome place sleep but a bit of separation from the adult’s room. The Jurassic World theming is all over the kid’s room from the valley mapping carpet to the massive landscaped scenery on the walls. A lighted desk which has a large map of Nublar above it, a full-size closet, and an entertainment center with a large TV are also included in each of the kid's rooms. […]

  • Antojitos at Universal

11/20/2021 • Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • Who doesn’t love a good margarita and some guacamole?!  I’ve got just the place to celebrate Taco Tuesday and maybe even Taco Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! On your next trip to Universal, you’ll have to stop by Antojitos! Located just outside the theme parks and a short water taxi ride away from the on-property hotels, Antojitos is located conveniently at Universal’s CityWalk, which is perfect after a long day at the parks. Antojitos has a great vibe and you are enticed into the restaurant with bright waves of color, along with the vibrant sounds of an authentic Mariachi band which sets the tone for a fun experience. We were guided to our table and along the way, we saw several patrons enjoying guacamole that is made-to-order tableside. As soon as we sat down they brought us a big bowl of chips and salsa and we immediately ordered the guacamole to […]

  • The Flaming Moe!

11/16/2021 • Reviews, Universal Studios Orlando • Every Simpsons fan remembers that episode...waaaaay back from 1991...where the impossible-to-love bartender, Moe Szyslak, stole Homer’s idea for a fun beverage, got super famous, and Aerosmith came to town?!  Right? No?! Well, maybe I’ve been watching “The Simpsons” too long, but the drink - The Flaming Moe - is something every fan probably remembers! While at Universal Studios Orlando, you can wander over to Springfield U.S.A. and join fellow Simpson-ites in the delicacies of Fast Food Boulevard...Krusty Burger, Lard Lad Donuts, Duff Brewery, Cletus’ Chicken Shack...and the famous, MOE’s Tavern. The Flaming Moe can be found by bellying up to the bar in MOE’s Tavern, or by going to The Flaming Moe window inside of Fast Food Boulevard. Both locations are connected, so you won’t have to go far! The Flaming Moe is… Non-alcoholic Like Orange Crush In a sweet souvenir cup Super fizzy and ‘flaming’ Just enough for 1 […]

  • We worked with Janene for our Mediterranean Cruise! The Viking cruise staff was amazing and we loved it! We took advantage of many of the excursions offered! Janene may it so easy especially for new international travelers. We will call her again for any trips!

  • I had heard about this Nancy lady who puts together EPIC Disney vacations from my friends at work and knew I needed to have her help- she was SO personable and helped me the entire process through, from when the trip was just a thought to last minute setting up our Magic Bands. I highly recommend her!

  • Tressa has helped us plan 2 Disney trips and we cannot wait for our 3rd trip. She has helped us plan our world Disney trip in 2025 and planned our 2026 Disney cruise. She has great communication and answered any questions I had. She made sure we were able to book anything we wanted to try at Disney. We will be reaching out for our next trip soon!

  • Tressa Krippel was wonderful to work with and so helpful as we planned our first multi-family trip (four separate families/reservations) to Disney World! She helped us with all aspects of the trip, from making the resort reservations, park selection and ticketing, dining recommendations, and transportation between the airport and the resort. She monitored new promotions after we made the reservation and was able to obtain for us a subsequent promotion resulting in significant savings. We especially appreciated her being online in the wee hours of the morning to ensure we were able to secure dining reservations when and where we wanted for our large group! Tressa patiently and responsively answered our many questions about the My Disney Experience website, the Disney Dining Plan, the Memory Maker plan, trip insurance, stroller rental, delivery of groceries to the resort, and so many other topics. We also really appreciated the final trip planning […]

  • This was my family's 2nd time using Me and The Mouse Travel and our agent Nancy! I cannot say enough nice things about her. She is such a gem, and I love working with her. This agency is a breeze to work with, you provide all of the details, and they make everything happen. If you are planning a trip to Disney, use Me and The Mouse, they will make all of your Disney wishes come true! This trip was for my birthday instead of my daughter's and it was so much fun to just be me and her. Thanks again Nancy! We will see you next time!
