If you’ve already chosen St. Lucia, you know it’s a breathtaking paradise—like Hawaii, but without the long flight if you're coming from the East Coast. Now, the big question: which Sandals resort is the best fit for you? With three stunning options, there's something for everyone.
Our first stop is Sandals Grande St. Lucian, a vibrant and stunning resort located on Gros-Islet, offering breathtaking views of Rodney Bay and the iconic Pitons—volcanic peaks draped in lush tropical greenery.
Grande is known for its stunning over-the-water bungalows and beachfront rondovals with private pools and butler service, laid out on a mile-long stretch of white sand beach.
The resort is always buzzing with energy, boasting 12 diverse restaurants and an exciting lineup of activities. From Reggae Night on Saturdays and the Caribbean Carnival Beach BBQ on Mondays to daytime foam parties in the main pool and evenings at the lively London Pub, there’s always something happening. If you're a social butterfly, this might be the perfect fit!
That said, while there are pockets of peace and quiet throughout the property, Grande is one of the more lively Sandals resorts. If you’re looking for a truly tranquil escape, La Toc or Halcyon might be more your speed.
While this resort has some of the most stunning views in the Caribbean, many of the rooms could use a refresh, and not all the rooms have those views. Another important note is that "oceanview" rooms face the Atlantic Ocean and not Rodney Bay which is the picturesque view of the island. If you want to ensure your room offers the perfect vantage point, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help you find the best option for your stay!
Who is this resort for: Couples looking to have a good time and socialize with other couples!

La Toc is our next stop. La Toc rests on a 220-acre estate, set on a half-mile, crescent-shaped beach, cradling exotic coral bluffs, lush hillsides, and rolling fairways. While the resort offers plenty of activity—whether it's playing volleyball at the Emerald Village pool, enjoying live music at the piano bar, or dancing the night away at Caribbean Night—the true showstoppers are the various options for gorgeous, secluded accommodations. Tucked into the cliffs of the Sunset Oceanview Bluff Village are the Millionaire Butler Villas. These exclusive suites feature private pools and fully retractable glass walls in both the master bedroom and living room, opening up to breathtaking 180-degree views of the Caribbean Sea.
Beyond its spectacular rooms and views, La Toc also boasts an executive-style golf course with greens fees included, making it a perfect getaway for couples—your partner can hit the fairways while you unwind at the Red Lane Spa.
One of the things I love about this resort is that your dollar stretches a bit further compared to others. Depending on the time of year, you can book a Butler Love Nest Suite for less than the cost of a standard room at another resort—a fantastic value for those looking to elevate their stay.
Who this resort is for: I’d especially recommend this resort for those looks for a boutique feel and for pool lovers, as it offers great poolside experiences. However, if a spacious beach is a top priority, you may prefer Grande or Halcyon, where the beaches tend to be larger and more expansive.
Sandals Halcyon
And our last stop is Halcyon. Halcyon is an intimate resort that’s described as a true Garden of Eden. It’s the perfect combination of serenity and white-sand beaches. The beachfront architecture features picturesque gingerbread-detailed cottages that are no taller than the highest palm trees which means gorgeous panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
One of the great things about Halcyon is that you can't get a bad room. All the rooms are renovated or brand new. Halcyon Halcyon does feature activities as well, but it’s a little more laid back than the other resorts. Some may even call it sleepy, but that might be the exact vibe someone is looking for.
Who is this resort for: I'd recommend this resort for older couples who want a little more peace and quiet, but who can appreciate a gorgeous beach and great pools!
Luckily, St. Lucia offers the “Stay at one and play at three” option, meaning that all three resorts have resort exchange privileges. A complimentary shuttle throughout the day will shuttle you between resorts.
