Theme Park and cruise vacations are the best, right?! But have you ever wanted something different? For an awesome beach vacation, or trip to explore a lively city, Marriott properties might be just what you are looking for. Marriott has 25+ brands offering everything from single-night hotel stays to all-inclusive resorts and even a luxury yacht collection. I recently stayed at two of the luxury hotel properties – The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort and The JW Marriott Marquis Miami. In this piece, I’ll go over some of the fantastic options each hotel has to offer.
First up, The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort – Wow, what a great resort! Marco Island, a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico in Southwest Florida is connected to the mainland by bridges near Naples. The entire island is less than 25sq miles and this resort encompasses 3 of those miles with pristine private beachfront. This resort offers both a family side and an adults-only side called Paradise by Sirene. Every room or suite has a private balcony where you can enjoy the beautiful Gulf views in peace.
So many entertainment and dining options are located within this property that you’ll never have to leave! 12 unique food and beverage options are available daily - a market-style breakfast buffet, burgers on the beach, and sushi & cocktail bar are just a few of the available options. Some other featured amenities include a Spa, Fitness Center, On-Site Golf, Outdoor Pools, Hot Tubs, Private Beach Access, Meeting Spaces, Watercraft Rentals, and 10K Alley – a Game Room with pool tables, mini-golf, air hockey, bowling, and popular arcade classics. While we didn’t need to leave the resort, we did decide to go on a jet-ski tour through the everglades, which was so much fun!
Next up is The JW Marriott Marquis Miami – A sophisticated hotel located in the heart of downtown Miami. This high-rise has 41 floors and 313 stunning rooms with state-of-the-art technology and breathtaking views all around. Miami itself has so much to see and do, but if you want a relaxing day in, this is the place to be.
Just like the previous property, The Marquis Miami has so much to offer! Restaurants, a spa, fitness center, on-site golf, an outdoor heated pool with a hot tub, meeting spaces, and activities for kids are some of what are available. The 19th floor is a unique indoor/outdoor area where most of the entertainment is located. A full-size basketball court that can transform into an event space, a virtual golf course, bowling alley, 3-D media room, a stainless-steel sky pool that overlooks Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami, pool tables, and more which are all included with most stays. My family spent an entire evening just playing on this floor! If you need one night, or five, this beautiful hotel is the place to be.
