🎯 What Is Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters?
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is a slow-moving interactive dark ride where you fire laser blasters at targets shaped like "Zs" to stop Zurg and rack up points. Each target has a different point value and your score climbs as you zap your way through the ride.
🔫 Know Your Blaster
Each rider gets a blaster that you can aim freely — and a joystick to spin the ride vehicle. Unlike similar rides in other parks, Disneyland’s version lets you remove the blaster from the mount, giving you full range to aim better. Use this to your advantage!
Pro Tip:
Aim with two hands — one to hold the trigger and one to stabilize your aim, especially during tricky shots.

Not all targets are created equal. They come in different shapes and locations, with some giving 10x the points of others. Plus, if you hit a target when it is lit up, the point values increase 5-10X the normal value! There’s a picture of the targets in the queue of the ride that gives you a clue for which targets to look for.

đź•ą Pro Tips to Max Out Your Score
Start strong in Room 1-Focus on the high-value orange robot target on the left. Keep shooting it until you rack up serious points.
Spin for position-Use the joystick to turn the vehicle and line up perfect angles — especially in tight scenes.
Rapid fire FTW-Your blaster allows continuous firing. Don't wait. Just hold that trigger down like a true Space Ranger.
Aim for the center of the target-Only direct hits to the center count. Watch for red lights — that confirms you scored a hit.
Hit targets when they are lit up-The normal points are multiplied up to 10X the normal value, so watch for them to light up and score!
Replay to memorize target locations-The more you ride, the more you'll remember where the best targets are hiding.
📸 Don’t Forget the Galactic Hero Photo!
If you max out your score (999,999), snap a picture at the photo display near the exit — you might even get a special Galactic Hero sticker from a Cast Member if you ask nicely!
