From Walt Disney World in Florida, to Disneyland in California, from Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii to the Disney Cruise Line, and even Adventures by Disney trips around the globe—each option has something magical to offer for multigenerational families. • The Beak and Barrel – Magic Kingdom

9/30/2025 • Walt Disney World • Do you want to live like a pirate? You now have your chance in the all-new Beak and Barrel Tavern located right outside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. This is a 45-minute immersive experience where you can enjoy a variety of specialty drinks focused on a pirate’s favorite beverage – rum. This experience does require advanced dining reservations, but note, this is not a meal. But you can order snacks off the menu, which provides 4 different options from the galley. We had the “Island Provisions” Plantain Chips, Blue Corn Tortillas, and Toasted Flatbread served with Mango Chutney, Garlic Chimichurri, Spiced Guava, and Zesty Cilantro Cream Dips, which was very good and definitely enough for 2 people as a snack. You may also not be given a seat during your experience. In fact, the location we were given was the bar, which was standing only. It worked fine for […]

  • Why Families Who Don’t Think They’re ‘Cruise People’ Fall in Love With Disney Cruise Line

9/23/2025 • Blog, Cruises • “I don’t think a cruise is for me…” I hear this all the time, and I get it! Maybe you picture cramped cabins, endless buffets, or being stuck in the middle of the ocean with nothing to do. But here’s the thing: a Disney Cruise is completely different from what most people imagine a cruise to be. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and Disney magic—and it just might be your family’s favorite vacation ever. Here’s why a Disney Cruise is truly the perfect fit for every family, even if you’ve never cruised before. 1. It’s All-Inclusive and Stress-Free From the moment you step onboard, nearly everything is included: • Incredible meals at themed restaurants • Unlimited soft drinks, coffee, and even 24-hour room service • Broadway-caliber live shows • Kids’ clubs packed with immersive activities • Deck parties, character meet-and-greets, and nightly entertainment Instead of planning every detail […]

  • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Jollywood Nights?

9/9/2025 • Walt Disney World • Two parties. Two vibes. One magical holiday season! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights each offer their own sparkle—so which one should you choose? I was able to attend both parties and I’m excited to give you my honest assessment. Both bring holiday magic in their own unique way—but they’re very different experiences. Here’s what stood out at each party, and how to know which one is the right fit for your holiday style. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the “original” officially debuting in 1983. This party is held at Magic Kingdom. With admission, guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookie stations, themed shows and parades, character meet and greets in holiday outfits and with limited attendance, ride wait times were a little shorter. The vibe of this party was magical, but felt a little crowded and chaotic at times. Can’t Miss Event: Mickey’s Once […]

  • 🚀 How to Max Out Your Score on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at Disneyland!

8/12/2025 • Blog, Disneyland • "To Infinity and Beyond!" That’s not just Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase — it should be your score strategy on one of Disneyland’s most fun rides: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters! If you’re anything like me, you LOVE some “friendly” competition on a Disney Ride, but whether you're a casual space ranger or an elite Galactic Hero, here's how you can maximize your score and impress Emperor Zurg himself. 🎯 What Is Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters? Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is a slow-moving interactive dark ride where you fire laser blasters at targets shaped like "Zs" to stop Zurg and rack up points. Each target has a different point value and your score climbs as you zap your way through the ride. 🔫 Know Your Blaster Each rider gets a blaster that you can aim freely — and a joystick to spin the ride vehicle. Unlike similar rides in other parks, Disneyland’s version […]

  • MagicBands+ – What are They, How Do you Use Them, and are They Necessary?

7/29/2025 • Blog, Walt Disney World • As you plan your Disney World vacation, one of the key decisions you'll have to make is how to manage your park access, Lightning Lane access, hotel keys, and more. Two of the most popular options are MagicBands+ and MagicMobile. MagicBand+ are wristbands that serve as an all-in-one device for your Disney experience, acting as your ticket, hotel key, and wallet for on-site purchases. MagicMobile turns your smartphone into a digital pass, offering similar features to the MagicBand but in digital format. What is MagicBand+? The MagicBand+ connects you to all the vacation choices that you made on the My Disney Experience app. You can use them to enter the parks (with valid admission), unlock your Disney Resort hotel room, access Lightning Lane reservations, and buy food/merchandise. MagicBand+ adds an extra touch of magic to your vacation throughout Walt Disney Worlds Resort. With customizable light-up themes to vibration and interaction […]

  • Experiencing Europe on Virgin Voyages

7/22/2025 • Cruises • We have cruised Europe on a few different cruise lines, both river and ocean. We just returned from Virgin Voyages English Sights & European Delights out of Portsmouth, UK with stops to La Coruna, Spain, Bilbao, Spain, and Le Verdon, France. It was a very relaxing and easy itinerary since we were able to walk off the ship and walk the towns of La Coruna and Bilbao without needing an excursion. Portsmouth, UK This is a very easy port for both embarkation and disembarkation. Taking advantage of a pre-night stay as an add-on to our cruise fare also made it seamless. The city is filled with history and is easy to walk from the Marriott hotel to many dining options. La Coruna, Spain Such a charming city and an easy walk from the ship. This historical port city dates to the Roman times and the city is lined with outdoor […]
