Did you know there is a free scavenger hunt that you can complete using the help of the Disney Skyliner? At Me and The Mouse Travel, we call this a "Magical Moment" activity - an extra activity that you can add to your itinerary and create more Disney memories with your family. Download Your Own Here: DisneySkyliner_CreateYourOwnCabin The Skyliner is one of Disney World’s best transportation systems and has quickly become a favorite "attraction" outside of the theme parks. Since late 2019, the Disney Skyliner has become one of the best ways to travel around the Walt Disney World Resort. While you have to wait for other transportation options like the monorail and bus, the Disney Skyliner has a continuous loading process, making it an easy and quick form of transportation to transfer to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, as well as other select resorts. As you take to the sky […]

Taking a Disney Cruise doesn’t mean the entire cruise is about kids. Many adults sail as couples and for girls’ getaways. But for the family cruisers, adults may want a little adult time while the kids enjoy the kids' clubs. On the Disney Wish, there are many locations where adults can grab a drink, have a lively conversation with fellow passengers, or just kick back and relax with a cup of coffee and a book. Areas that adults can enjoy their own time: • Keg & Compass – Deck 5 - Grab a brew in this maritime pub while catching live sports on one of the tv’s. • Luna – Deck 4 & 5, which is the event/entertainment space onboard the Disney Wish. It is a family use area during the day and at night is an adult exclusive entertainment area. • Nightingale's – Deck 3 – Piano bar offering […]

There are so many reasons to bring a hat with you on your vacation- no matter the destination. I always bring a hat for sun protection or warmth depending on the destination but have struggled with how to pack or carry my hat without causing damage to it. After years of trial and error, I am happy to share my best tips with you! The first thing you need to decide is how you’d like to carry your hat. If it’s an expensive hat, you probably want to pack it in its original box that it came with or simply wear it. If that isn’t an option. Here are some options for carrying your hat with you outside of a bag. The Bag Method If you need to keep your bag with you, a specialty tote bag made for hats is a great option. This allows a little extra protection […]

One of the common questions people ask when their dining booking window approaches is where they can find the best steak. Disney parks, resorts, and Disney Springs have a few choices, but the one my family has enjoyed for years is Le Cellier in the Canadian Pavilion in EPCOT. The interior is meant to resemble a wine cellar, which gives you a cozy and quaint environment to enjoy your meal. Each section of the restaurant represents a different province in Canada. Once you are seated in the restaurant, you are greeted by your waitstaff who are always eager to share the highlights of their Canadian hometowns. Your meal starts off with bread service that includes pretzel bread and sourdough multi-grai bread served with maple syrup whipped butter. For an appetizer, we ordered the Signature Poutine, which consisted of Fresh-cut French Fries, Canadian Cheddar Cheese Curds, Truffle, Red Wine Reduction. We […]

What is a back-to-back cruise? Back-to-back cruising is a popular travel trend where individuals or families book two or more cruises on the same ship to extend their vacation at sea. Instead of disembarking after the first cruise, they remain on the ship for the next sailing. If booked early enough, staying in the same stateroom for both cruises is possible, saving time and the hassle of repacking and moving to a different stateroom. If you must change staterooms, your stateroom attendant will transfer your luggage to ensure an efficient and hassle-free experience. How can this benefit your family? There are many reasons to consider booking two consecutive cruises. Let’s explore how this can benefit you and your family. One of the key benefits is saving money. Who doesn't want to SAVE money when cruising? You may wonder how you save money when booking not one but two cruises during […]

EPCOT’s newest attraction is a self-guided walk thru experience where water comes to life at the wave of a hand. You can immerse yourself in the world of Moana while learning all about the life cycle of water and how it connects us. You will find Journey of Water in EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood along with The Land and The Seas pavilions. As you enter the attraction, you are greeted with your first trail marker. Each of these trail markers represents a part of the life cycle of water and provides some education and then a fun way to play with the water. From making music to making waves. Keep an eye out for familiar shapes in the rocks! About half way through the attraction there are restrooms and a spot to sit. Be prepared to get at least a bit wet if you want to really have fun in […]

So many great things are happening during the current floor to ceiling refurbishment at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and I can't wait to see the final product of Pixar Place come to life. The most notable change will be the new name, from Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel to Pixar Place Hotel. This hotel has undergone several name changes and transformations since originally opening in 1984, but the current theme, Paradise Pier, has been around for a little over 20 years now, so this is definitely a welcomed change. During a recent stay, I was literally seeing these changes happening before my eyes. The new lobby is filled with great Pixar touches including characters from the whole Pixar collection. When walking through the lobby, be sure to look up and down because there are special touches everywhere. The pool area, now known as Pixel Pool, includes splash pads and a waterslide. […]
