If you are looking for a unique quick service location in Magic Kingdom, look no further than Columbia Harbor House. Nestled near the Haunted Mansion and Liberty Square, you will find this New England themed restaurant. This restaurant boasts lots of nautical décor and feels as if you are sitting in a sea side fish house. There is a large fireplace to welcome you inside and the rooms are filled with ship wheels, boats, and nautical paintings. There are two floors to provide ample seating and one of my favorite things about this location, is sitting upstairs. Sometimes this seating area can be less crowded, but the best part is snagging one of the tables by the window for some people watching. Gaston. According to his song, he’s everyone's favorite guy. But better than the man himself is Gaston’s Tavern and it has become one of my favorite Magic Kingdom snacking hideouts since its opening. Gaston’s Tavern is located in Fantasyland in the square centered by Gaston’s statue. It offers snacks as well as light meal options which is perfect when you aren’t hungry enough for a complete quick service meal but want something a little bit more than a light snack. Walking into the restaurant you will first encounter a warm pub atmosphere with wood paneling and barrels filled with LeFou’s Brew. Cozy tables line the far wall where guests make themselves at home. On a recent visit to the Magic Kingdom, we encountered the Main Street Philharmonic. I will be honest, we have seen countless parades that include them and have often seen them playing along Main Stweet USA, but this was the first time we stopped to enjoy their performance. In fact, we were trying to head to Tomorrowland for our expiring Fastpass. The kids were very engaged listening and watching them perform. They quickly sat down and asked to stay for their performance. We almost even missed our Fastpass, but no one seemed to mind. The Main Street Philharmonic is a 12-piece brass and percussion band. As we were approaching them, they were playing traditional Christmas songs. There were even a couple of small children that were dancing in front of them as they played. It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow..............." If you are singing along at this point, you are familiar with my favorite classic attraction at Walt Disney World. While some may walk by this classic attraction, this is a "MUST DO" on every visit to the Magic Kingdom for my family. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress was personally created by Walt Disney for the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. In 1975, the attraction moved to its current location in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. This nostalgic attraction holds a special place in many people's hearts because it is one of the only attractions at Walt Disney World to have been touched by Walt Disney himself. One of the best tips for making the most of your time at Walt Disney World is to stay in the parks for your meals. While there are many great table service selections in Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, there are only a handful available in Animal Kingdom. Nestled in the Valley of the Mo'roa on the moon of Pandora, explorers are invited on a mystic journey down the Na'vi River. At the water's edge, explorers will board small reed boats to begin their journey. As your travel begins, you are met by a Na'vi warrior, who grants you passage into the rainforest and your eyes are open the wonderment of Pandora. A spectacular bioluminescent rainforest surrounds you as you discover exotic flora and the sounds of Pandoran creatures in the distance. As the voyage continues, you hear music in the distance and encounter unique creatures, like viperwolf, who seem to be traveling down river with you as you in search of the Na'vi "Shaman of Songs".
