When clients ask for “kid-friendly” resorts, many automatically think of Value Resorts because of their bright and colorful, not to mention, larger than life décor! These resorts are great, but some families need accommodations for 4 or more guests, they want queen size beds, larger rooms, or they’re attracted to a subtler décor for their stay. Value Resorts accommodate no more than 4 guests (unless staying in a family suite) and have double size beds. You don’t need to sacrifice your resort preferences just because you think the Value Resorts are the only ones appealing to children. Moderate Resorts (along with Deluxe Resorts) are as appealing without the focus being solely on the décor of the grounds. Below is a breakdown of the kid friendly options that are available at Moderate Resorts. Themed Rooms (accommodate families of 4) Caribbean Beach Resort (Pirate Rooms) Immerse yourself in the pirate world! With […]

An exciting, new resort opened on Universal Orlando property in July 2016. Loews Sapphire Falls is a beautiful resort conveniently located one mile from the entrance of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Full of lush Caribbean scenery and breathtaking waterfalls, this resort hotel is sure to make you feel like you are in a relaxing tropical paradise, not in the middle of a theme park. Walking into the lobby of this resort was very impressive. The spacious lobby is decked out with a giant beach ball chandelier. You can also see a view of Islands of Adventure from the windows. The check-in process was absolutely flawless. The desk staff was extremely friendly and efficient. It took only 10 minutes from check-in to being in my room! My room had two queen beds and a standard view. However, I still had a great view of the water surrounding the resort. Each room comes […]

The best way to shop! Souvenirs help us to remember our vacation - you get to take a piece of your trip home with you! Kiosks filled with goodies catch your eye, a specialty boutique lures you in, or the smells from the bakery have you lighter than air as the smells make you hover through the streets! But lugging that stuff, those t-shirts, those mugs, etc., around all day can be a pain… What should you do with those souvenirs? Here are some suggestions: Say you’ll “grab it on your way out”...{but you’ll forget} Think “oh maybe the hotel will have this in the gift shop”...{probably not} Say “Let’s buy it NOW and use Package Pick-Up or Hotel Delivery!”...{Yes, yes you should!} Package Pick-Up works like this: First, you buy your souvenir when you see it. Then at the register, ask the Cast Member if you can […]

My family recently was able to experience the magic of staying at the Disneyland Hotel. The Disneyland Hotel consists of 3 towers: Adventure Tower, Frontier Tower, and Fantasy Tower. Check-In When you first arrive you will go into the Fantasy Tower to check in. The Fantasy Tower is named after Fantasy Land and you will see decor that commemorates the attractions within that land: Dumbo, Mad Hatters Tea Cups, and the Storybook Land. Minnie Mouse and Pluto greeted us while we were in the lobby checking into our room. It was so fun to watch my kids interact with the characters and we didn’t even have to wait in a line! Also within the Fantasy Tower, you will find a couple gift shops (Fantasia Shop and Small World gift and sundries) and an entrance to the resorts convention center. The Adventure Tower’s lobby features décor from the Jungle Book and Pirates of the […]

Our home away from home. {Goodness, I love this place!} For the past several years, my family has chosen to stay at the Grand Californian at the Disneyland Resort. We have stayed at other Disney hotels as well as several Good Neighbor hotels, but we keep coming back to the Grand Californian because it simply has everything we are looking for! Location #1 - Going OUT! The location of this beautiful hotel cannot be beat. Laying at the edge of Disney’s California Adventure park, it has its own private entrance into the park, and it is just a quick walk to the gates to Disneyland. Many rooms offer premium views of the pool, a theme park, or even Downtown Disney which is just outside the hotel for immediate access to fun! Location #2 - Coming IN! Days can get quite warm in Southern California, and it’s nice to have a […]

If you’re anything like me, part of your Disney World Vacation involves looking for an extra cute, can’t-live-without souvenir either for yourself or someone you love. I try not to buy anything on my first day at the parks, but what’s a girl to do when she knows it might not be there when she comes back? Keeping track of and carrying around all your purchases made in a day can be quite tiresome and frustrating. Kids love to have their beloved purchases with them at all times but that means more things you have to make sure don’t end up in the lost and found area. Once again, Disney has made it easy for shoppers and for that I’m extremely thankful. Enter in Disney’s package delivery service. Disney offers multiple, convenient choices for package delivery and almost all of them are free! The first option for package delivery is […]
