Our home away from home. Goodness, I love this place!

For the past several years, my family has chosen to stay at the Grand Californian at the Disneyland Resort. We have stayed at other Disney hotels as well as several Good Neighbor hotels, but we keep coming back to the Grand Californian because it simply has everything we are looking for!

Disneyland's Grand Californian Resort

Going OUT! The location of this beautiful hotel cannot be beat. Laying at the edge of Disney’s California Adventure Park, it has its own private entrance into the park, and it is just a quick walk to the gates to Disneyland. Many rooms offer premium views of the pool, a theme park, or even Downtown Disney which is just outside the hotel for immediate access to fun!

Coming IN! Days can get quite warm in Southern California, and it’s nice to have a comfortable place to cool off. Being so close to the parks, we often find ourselves visiting our room or even stopping for a quick snack several times back at the hotel. This is also great for anyone traveling with little ones who might need an afternoon break. No bus and no long walk to get your tired little ones back for a nap!

Early Magic Mornings

Guests staying here not only have direct access to California Adventure, but guests also enjoy entry into one of the two parks (they alternate and are posted throughout the hotel) an hour before the parks open for general admission. You can see most of Fantasyland or enjoy a ride on Radiator Springs Racers and grab breakfast at Flo’s V-8 before the park is open to everyone else!

Great dining choices

Yes, both Disneyland and California Adventure have amazing restaurants to choose from, but don’t overlook your own hotel! At the Grand Californian, you can enjoy a character meal at the Storytellers Café or comfort foods at lunch and dinner. For adults looking for something a little more romantic, Napa Rose offers signature dining with an amazing menu.

Architecture!

From the days this resort was first being built, I wanted to stay here. It is gorgeous inside and out in traditional Craftsman style. Daily tours are offered to enjoy the beauty of this resort, and your guide may even help you spot some of the hidden Mickeys (or Tinker Bell!) hidden throughout the hotel!

My family has been staying at this Disney hotel every year for the last four years. There is simply no other resort in the Disneyland area that is more convenient or more beautiful than the Grand Californian!
