Epic Universe, one of the most immersive and exciting theme parks ever created, is now open — but for guests with certain disabilities or special needs. Navigating a busy park day can be overwhelming, and possibly dangerous. Thankfully, Universal Orlando Resort offers the Attraction Assistance Pass (AAP) to help make the experience smoother and more inclusive for everyone in your group. We don’t mind sharing our journey, so I’ll let you know - my son has epilepsy and with that, certain factors inside the park could be a trigger for seizures. As with most parents and caregivers, we try to avoid things that could cause issues, but we still want him to have the same exciting experience that Epic was made for and with the AAP, we can help make that happen. We recently returned from a Universal Orlando trip, where we utilized the Attraction Assistance Pass for my son. […]

For so many of us, the best memories with our families aren’t necessarily grandiose presents or huge events but the small moments, the shared laughs, and the quiet talks we didn’t even plan. There’s something truly wonderful about those one-on-one moments, especially when that time is spent somewhere as magical as a Disney Park. A dedicated “Mom and Me” or “Dad and Me” or even a "Grandparent and Me" vacation to Disney isn’t just a getaway; it’s a way to strengthen your bond and create memories you will both cherish for years. Whether celebrating a birthday, a school milestone, or just wanting that special time together, these trips offer so many chances to reconnect in ways that the usual day-to-day doesn’t always allow. My daughter has been my travel buddy since she was little, and we've made a tradition of going somewhere just before Christmas - Disneyland, Walt Disney World, […]

Have you ever sat on the bed inside your cruise cabin and thought “more space sure would be nice”? Well, it is possible, and it’s not that far out of reach when you sail with Royal Caribbean! My “kids” are both taller than me now, so we take up more space than in previous years. When planning our latest cruise, we knew space would be an issue, so I started comparing our normal cabins with different suite options and was surprised at how affordable a suite would be for us. Royal Caribbean has 3 different Royal Suite Classes - Sea, Sky and Star Class, and they vary by ship, so be sure to match what class and amenities you want with your ship when talking with your Me and The Mouse travel specialist. My family cruised on Allure of the Seas in a 2-bedroom Grand Suite, which is a Sky […]

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is one of Disney’s most unique lounges with Hawaiian vibes and unique Disney storytelling. The menu offers a variety of drinks, but the real magic is the theatrical service. Order a “Nautilus,” and the bar turns into a diving experience complete with lighting changes, ominous music, and water gun attacks on all of the guests. Order a “Black Pearl” for some special effects with some fog and theming built around the storytelling of this Disney legend. Think Jungle Cruise fun in an adult atmosphere! Not a drinker, but want to enjoy the atmosphere? Trader Sam’s offers some delicious appetizers and mocktails for the guests who might want to enjoy the experience, but not the […]

When most people think about Walt Disney World, they think of "The Mouse", a favorite princess, a space ranger, or maybe even a silly monster comes to mind, but not many people think about playing a round of golf before a day at Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World Golf has four courses to choose from, and if you’re not able to tote your own clubs to the "Happiest Place on Turf", you can rent some of the latest and greatest TaylorMade clubs on the market for $50 per person. As with anything Disney, everything is meticulously kept, and the service is helpful and friendly. When you check in for your round you are given a couple sleeves of new golf balls, offered range balls if you want to warm up before your round, and directed to the appropriate areas to do so. The carts are equipped with GPS technology that […]
