Have you ever sat on the bed inside your cruise cabin and thought “more space sure would be nice”? Well, it is possible, and it’s not that far out of reach when you sail with Royal Caribbean! My “kids” are both taller than me now, so we take up more space than in previous years. When planning our latest cruise, we knew space would be an issue, so I started comparing our normal cabins with different suite options and was surprised at how affordable a suite would be for us. Royal Caribbean has 3 different Royal Suite Classes - Sea, Sky and Star Class, and they vary by ship, so be sure to match what class and amenities you want with your ship when talking with your Me and The Mouse travel specialist.
My family cruised on Allure of the Seas in a 2-bedroom Grand Suite, which is a Sky Class suite. From the moment we entered Port Miami, I knew the suite life was for me! Your SeaPass identifies where you need to be, so we were immediately directed to the suite check-in area. The check-in process, before you get to the ship and once inside the suite lounge is very simple. They offer drinks and appetizers inside the lounge while you wait to board, which is a big bonus for hungry teenagers. Our suite was on deck 12, which is special because it has a not-so-secret hot tub on the balcony, which most Grand Suites do not have. When we opened the cabin door and saw how much space we would have during our cruise, I almost cried, there was no sitting on the beds this time around!
Living the Suite life gives you some amazing amenities, that you would otherwise pay separately for.
• Each person is given an access code for VOOM Surf + Stream internet
• A Suite Lounge with appetizers throughout the day, and several opportunities during the day for beer, wine or cocktails
• Access to suite-only dining with upscale entrees for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
• Free towels on the pool decks which could otherwise cost you if you forget to return your towel
• In-room dining from the Main Dining Room menu and regular room service
• In-room Lavazza Espresso machine and specialty bottled water
• Expedited embarkation and disembarkation which includes an escort by the concierge team
Additional perks are also included which I could go on and on about, but I don’t want to give it all away. Sailing on Royal Caribbean is so much fun weather you are a suite guest or not, but My family loved living the suite life, and I think yours will too!
