Last weekend, while Me and The Mouse Travel specialists visited the Festival of the Arts, we had the opportunity of enjoying breakfast at Topolino's Terrace, which is located at the top of Disney's Riveria Resort.
The restaurant not only has an amazing menu but offers spectacular views of the resort and nearby parks. The artists in residence at this character breakfast include Mickey (a painter), Minnie (a poet), Donald (a sculptor), and Daisy (a ballerina), who meet guests during breakfast only. This character meal is only 1 table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan. (While dinner is also served in the restaurant, it is not character meal and is 2 dining credits on the Disney dining plan) At dinner, you can view the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
When entering the restaurant, our team was awestruck with the gorgeous setting of this unique restaurant, named for Mickey Mouse (Topolino is Mickey Mouse in Italian). Topolino's has an elegant feel and a spectacular patio section as well. Upon seating at our table, we were immediately greeted by our server and received a basket of pastries with several spreads including honey butter, Nutella, and homemade strawberry jam.
A gluten-free basket was available for those with dietary needs – gluten-free doughnuts were part of the breadbasket!!! Guests order their entrée from the menu, which is a welcome change from the ample buffet character meals offered throughout Walt Disney World. Whether you choose the quiche, Sour Cream waffles, croissant sandwich or steak, you will not be disappointed. Breakfast is a flat rate of $42 per adult and $27 per child for the meal. Topolino’s is easily accessible by the Disney Skyliner from either Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or the resorts on the Skyliner path, which makes breakfast a perfect choice to start your day off before your day at Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Guests can also purchase unique souvenirs including stuffed plush, our favorite Disney characters as artists, Signature Riviera Minnie Mouse Ears, and Riviera Autograph and activity book.
If you are looking for a character meal with a relaxed pace, amazing character interaction, delicious food, and a spectacular view, Topolino's Terrace needs to be part of your Walt Disney World itinerary.
