Disney World bucket list item….CHECK! When I first heard Chef Morimoto was opening a restaurant in Disney Springs, I knew immediately that this dining reservation was on the top of my list! The influence of Japanese, Chinese and Korean flavors on the menu pretty much guaranteed Morimoto Asia was sure to become a favorite of mine! This new spot is located in a modern new building at the Landing in Disney Springs. (It shares an area with Raglan Road that allows you to enjoy the outside entertainment across the way while you wait for your table.) This beautiful restaurant has an amazing menu that anyone should be able to find something they would love. They also have a children’s menu, and there were plenty of families with young ones who all seemed happy. Morimoto has many traditional flavors, House sake, a pretty extensive sushi menu, and several specialty drinks. You’ll […]

After a busy day of exploring the parks, sometimes it’s nice to take a break with a relaxing dinner, unique drinks and great atmosphere. Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar is just the place. Not only does it not take reservations and has a water front view, but the menu of eats and drinks are specially themed as the ex-home of Indiana Jones’ side kick. Located in Disney Springs, the family friendly Hanger Bar is for walk-ups only. There are no reservations taken and none needed. While it has a water front location, there are plenty of tables inside the building as well as outside on the water. If you’re lucky, you may be able to sit inside the helmet of a scuba diver or sit in the boat that’s on the side of the Hanger Bar that’s lifted above the water. If you are sitting outside, you will be able to […]

Think Disney is just for families and couples, guess again! Let me just say this, I love Disney! I’ve been there more times that I can count with my family. I’ve also been with my husband and our new family. During each of these vacations, we were able to build some awesome memories that we will never forget. Earlier this past year, I got to experience Disney in a way I’ve not experienced it before, on my own! I spent quite a bit of time in Orlando this past spring and it took me away from my family and friends. I suddenly realized, why not go and spend some time at Disney! Even though I would be by myself, I knew I would be in a place surrounded by all of the happy memories that I’ve built over the years. Once I arrived at the resort, I was so […]

Raglan Road, nestled in the middle of the Downtown Disney/Disney Springs shopping and dining area, is one of the most unique and delicious restaurants on property! For those of us who remember Pleasure Island, Raglan Road was one of the first new additions to Pleasure Island when it became more family-friendly in late 2005. Built across from Mannequins, in place of what used to be an ice cream parlor, Raglan Road brought a new era of fine dining to Downtown Disney. Raglan Road is an authentic Irish Pub - and when I say ‘authentic’, I’m not just saying they have shamrocks and shepherd’s pie. What I mean is that every recipe is traditional Irish cuisine, the physical bar in the restaurant was taken out of an authentic pub in Ireland, live traditional music and Irish dancers grace crowds every evening, and beers and liquors traditionally served in Ireland are ready […]
