With fall finally upon us, my thoughts start going to Halloween. As a huge fan of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, I decided to give some love to Universal’s festivities and attend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Hollywood last year. While all parties are canceled for 2020, this is a great time to start thinking about next year! First of all, if you think you are going to a light event like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, this is not the atmosphere at all! Once you walk through the gates, prepare to be chased with chainsaws and basically scared out of your mind. You think you can go into a souvenir shop for a break, but no! They chase you in there too! Mickey's-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event that happens on select nights between August and October (sometimes November) at the Magic Kingdom. On nights when the event is taking place, Magic Kingdom will close early at 6 pm for those who do not have a party ticket for that evening. The party hours are from 7:00 pm to 12 AM, but party guests can arrive as early as 4:00 PM. The last show is at 12 AM, and guests can spend a little time to shop the exclusive event merchandise for a short while after the last show. Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party offers exclusive character greetings, Halloween-inspired ride overlays, specialty food items, Trick-or-Treating, unique shows, a firework show that is exclusive to the party, and the "BOO-To-You" Halloween Parade. It’s time again for the happiest haunting on Earth, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom! Join your favorite characters or not so frightful villains for a night filled with costumes, trick-or-treating, sweets and delightful eats. This year’s party starts on August 17th and runs several times a week through Halloween night. Ticket prices start at $85 up to $125 and can be purchased in advance through your favorite Me and The Mouse Travel Specialist or at the gate (subject to availability). $10 advance purchase discounts are available for most party dates except October 31, 2018.
