Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection

2/4/2022 • Blog, Walt Disney World • Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is now underway! The World’s Most Magical Celebration is an 18-month special event that features new rides, fireworks, and entertainment at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, as well as the resort hotels.   As part of the celebration, your family will enjoy discovering 50 of their favorite Disney characters throughout the four theme parks. 36 special golden character sculptures, depicting 50 of our favorite Disney characters, are located throughout the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. While some of the gold statues are easy to find, some character statues require little more searching. The whole family will enjoy discovering and taking photos with these special additions to the parks. Enjoying runDisney Events for Non-Runners

Whether you are up every morning for that morning run, or if you simply want to experience a runDisney event, here are several reasons to love runDisney races! The Challenge! Hopefully, all races are a challenge no matter your level of experience. For this girl, I’ll admit I didn’t train nearly enough knowing what I do now. Disney recommends a pace time of 15 minutes or under per mile whether you run or walk {or a combination of both}. “Balloon Ladies” {and sometimes Balloon Men!} keep the pace from the back and encourage you to keep going. Storybook Dining at Artist Point {Review}

They recently made a change (in December 2018), to a character experience known as Storybook Dining! This new family favorite restaurant will not only delight your taste buds but will also excite the kid in all of us with a unique character experience! Upon arrival, a brief ‘story’ is told of who will visit you during your dinner experience as well as the proper way to address The Queen! Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy will also visit guests with The Queen. 5/9/2018 • Walt Disney World • BIG CHANGES have been happening at Disney World…(in case you haven’t heard).  From the long-anticipated Toy Story Land coming to Hollywood Studios at the end of June 2018, to room renovations at their ever-popular themed resorts, and gondola systems being constructed as an added form of transportation…the changes seem endless. Disney never fails to keep finding ways to strike the interest of its fans with new and exciting big projects!   Last year in Animal Kingdom, the large addition was Pandora – The World of Avatar.  While the momentum of that land has not seemed to waiver after months of being open, Disney likes to add some smaller changes to the parks as well to keep with its evolution.  Making smaller additions to the parks keeps the interest of the Disney fans so they always have something NEW to look forward to on their next trip. Meet BB-8!

2/20/2017 • Walt Disney World • Hey all you Star Wars fans - you now have more to look at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort. Disney is has added more Star Wars fun as BB-8, the new droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens has now made its way to the park! BB-8 is greeting guests at the Star Wars Launch Bay. BB-8 appears with Kylo Ren and Chewbacca. In addition to the fun character meet-ups, you can enjoy all the fun and activities of the Launch Bay! The Launch Bay includes galleries packed full of Star Wars memorabilia and authentic replicas of Star Wars artifacts. The Launch Bay also included new pieces from the new film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You can also relax while watching the daytime show, "Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away". Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe

You will find this lively bunch at Disney's Beach Club Resort every morning at Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe. This charming, beach-themed character breakfast buffet offers a variety of breakfast favorites, including Mickey Waffles, a fresh fruit and yogurt bar, fresh-baked pastries, breakfast pizza, biscuits and gravy, and other options. This character breakfast is one dining credit on the Disney Dining Plan and breakfast is served from 7:30 am - 11:00 am.
