I am not a runner…at all…but that didn’t stop me from joining friends in my first runDisney marathon weekend! Whether you are up every morning for that morning run, or if you simply want to experience a runDisney event, here are several reasons to love runDisney races! The Challenge! Hopefully, all races are a challenge no matter your level of experience. For this girl, I’ll admit I didn’t train nearly enough knowing what I do now. Disney recommends a pace time of 15 minutes or under per mile whether you run or walk {or a combination of both}. “Balloon Ladies” {and sometimes Balloon Men!} keep the pace from the back and encourage you to keep going. If you fall behind, you will eventually get picked up and taken to the finish. I was able to stay ahead of them, but I saw faces of defeat on those who were not […]

My favorite part of any Disney vacation is seeing my children experience the magic and wonder of the Disney parks. Part of that magic is meeting their characters! Having two young daughters- they are both excited to see each and every princess, but Cinderella is their current favorite! How perfect that we can see Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepmother and the stepsisters all in one place- 1900 Park Fare in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort! Located just minutes from Magic Kingdom park- the Grand Floridian is my all-time favorite resort. Nestled on the first floor you will find 1900 Park Fare with a nightly dinner buffet featuring your favorite characters from the classic movie Cinderella. Upon arrival you will take a picture in front of the beautiful mural just outside the restaurant; this photo is included with your Memory Maker if you have chosen to add that to your resort package! Artist Point, located in Disney Wilderness Lodge, is a favorite signature dining restaurant in Walt Disney World. They recently made a change (in December 2018), to a character experience known as Storybook Dining! This new family favorite restaurant will not only delight your taste buds but will also excite the kid in all of us with a unique character experience! Upon arrival, a brief ‘story’ is told of who will visit you during your dinner experience as well as the proper way to address The Queen! Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy will also visit guests with The Queen. You will notice lovely woodland decor at every turn, twinkle lights, and a storybook in the center of the dining room. A Lazy Susan at your table resembles a great oak tree with leaves designed to hold both your appetizers and desserts! Signed ‘apples’ tie your silverware together. Snow White is introduced […]

BIG CHANGES have been happening at Disney World…(in case you haven’t heard). From the long-anticipated Toy Story Land coming to Hollywood Studios at the end of June 2018, to room renovations at their ever-popular themed resorts, and gondola systems being constructed as an added form of transportation…the changes seem endless. Disney never fails to keep finding ways to strike the interest of its fans with new and exciting big projects! Last year in Animal Kingdom, the large addition was Pandora – The World of Avatar. While the momentum of that land has not seemed to waiver after months of being open, Disney likes to add some smaller changes to the parks as well to keep with its evolution. Making smaller additions to the parks keeps the interest of the Disney fans so they always have something NEW to look forward to on their next trip. Even with a major opening […]

Minnie, Goofy and Donald are ready to spend the day at the beach but before they head off, they need a tasty breakfast to get them going. You will find this lively bunch at Disney's Beach Club Resort every morning at Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe. This charming, beach-themed character breakfast buffet offers a variety of breakfast favorites, including Mickey Waffles, a fresh fruit and yogurt bar, fresh-baked pastries, breakfast pizza, biscuits and gravy, and other options. This character breakfast is one dining credit on the Disney Dining Plan and breakfast is served from 7:30 am - 11:00 am. Cape May Cafe' is tucked away at Disney's Beach Club Resort, which I feel adds to the charming atmosphere of the restaurant. This dining location seems less busy than other popular character dining locations, like Chef Mickey's. In my experience, there have been very minimal wait times at […]

For families with little girls, booking a princess meal at Disney World is high on the must do list. My daughter is still eager to get dressed up in a princess dress, have her hair put up in a tiara and get ready to dine with the royals. With multiple princess meal options – which one is best suited for your family? The most famous princess meal at Disney World is Cinderella’s Royal Table located in Cinderella’s Castle. Hosted by Cinderella herself, every family has their picture taken with the royal princess and a photo package is included to commemorate this special occasion. Your entry to the dining hall is a truly magical experience as you look around and immerse yourself in grandeur. While Cinderella greets all her guests downstairs, other Disney princesses stop by your table to visit, allowing for pictures and autographs. Those families with reservations before the […]
