They say a picture is worth 1000 words but a moving photo from your time spent at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? There aren’t enough words to express the fun and magic that you experience at Shutterbutton’s.
Located in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, Shutterbutton’s is a wizard photography store that captures both moving and still photographs for wizards to share with their friends, even muggles. Sessions are available for up to 4 people at a time and are recorded in one of two simple photography rooms, each with a green screen and an old-fashioned camera. Props such as robes and wands can be borrowed but if you plan on purchasing either of these as souvenirs, I recommend you purchase them before your appointment so you can have them at your disposal. Ollivander's Wand Shop happens to be located across the road from Shutterbutton’s so you can first let the wand choose you and then walk over to capture the memories.
Your session starts with still photographs. Your photographer will guide you through any actions, reactions, and expressions you need to make. Individual, as well as group photographs, will be taken. My favorite picture taken was a battle between good and evil, mom vs daughter for control of Diagon Alley.
Next, the moving picture scenes are captured. A total of 12 scenes, located in Diagon’s Alley, Hogsmeade, and even on the Hogwart’s Express, capture moments with your entire group interacting together. The scenes are compiled into an approximately 2-minute movie designed to replicate a storybook with moving pictures. When you arrive back home, be sure to watch the video any day you want to put a smile on your face as the sweet memories come flooding back with each scene viewed.
While Shutterbutton’s sessions can be reserved for any guest, it is included for guests booking the Exclusive Wizarding World of Harry Potter Package. Be sure to talk with your travel specialist about booking this package! You will bring home a copy of the DVD of the moving photos as well as have a link to the video emailed to you. Also, ask your travel specialist to add on the My Universal Photos package because while the individual photos are not part of this package, they can be purchased at a greatly reduced rate if you do have the photo package purchased for the day.
