If you want an over-the-top Disney themed resort with spacious rooms and a great location to the parks, then the Art of Animation is the perfect place for you to call "home" on your Walt Disney World vacation! While my family has enjoyed multiple stays at this family value resort, we personally love being situated right in the heart of Radiator Springs with the Tower of Tires and The Cozy Cone Motel just outside our room.

ROOMS

Disney's Art of Animation resort is a fantastic option for large families or families that would like a little more space at the end of the day. The Art of Animation resort is primarily made up of family value suites. The suites consist of a separate living room with a Double-size sleeper sofa, Double-size Table Bed, master bedroom with one Queen bed, two full bathrooms, and a kitchenette that includes a small refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The family value suites can accommodate up to 6 guests plus one child under the age of two years of age. While the Little Mermaid standard rooms with 2 queen beds, can accommodate up to 4 guests.

RESORT AMENITIES

The resort is themed for some of our favorite Disney Movies - Finding Nemo, CARS, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. The main pool is The Big Blue Pool. In this area, you will find the largest resort pool on Walt Disney World property. This zero-entry pool is adjacent to an interactive water play area, perfect for the little ones. Children will also love to climb and slide at Righteous Reef playground located in the Finding Nemo courtyard, as well as exploring the Elephant Graveyard near the Lion King suites. Additional pools are located in the CARS courtyard and the Little Mermaid sections of the resort.

Although considered a value resort, this resort is full of amenities including Disney Movies every night, arcade games in the Pixel Parade Arcade, and sketching/drawing on easels with an Artist of the Day picked each night. As for dining, you will find a variety of delicious choices at the Landscape of Flavors food court area in Animation Hall. If you want more dining and shopping options, you can walk over the Generation Gap Bridge to the nearby Disney Pop Century Resort.

TRANSPORTATION

The Art of Animation has a single bus stop with individual areas for travel to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. For guests visiting Hollywood Studios and Epcot, guests will take to the sky via the Disney Skyline. This smooth and convenient transportation allows families to relax and take a seat as they travel together to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Caribbean Beach Resort and the Riviera - making these parks and resorts even more easily accessible for dining and shopping.

Whether you are splashing with Nemo and friends in the Big Blue Pool, taking pictures with the life-size vehicles from CARS, or exploring Pride Rock during your stay, your family will love making Disney memories from the moment you check-in at the Art of Animation. The Art of Animation offers family suites themed for Nemo, CARS and the Lion King, as well as Little Mermaid standard rooms. Staying in the heart of some of your favorite Disney movies is the perfect way to create more Disney magic on your vacation to Walt Disney World.
