Disney has changed how one thinks about quick-service food in a theme park. Instead of just hamburgers, hotdogs, and pizza, their offerings reflect the many tastes and personalities of their guests which makes quick service dining an experience to look forward to. But let’s be honest, we all hate waiting in lines. When visiting Walt Disney World, lines are inevitable, but Disney’s mobile dining orders can give you some of your time back and minimize the lines you experience at the parks.

Mobile ordering is available for most quick-service locations and a recent addition is some table service locations. Table service locations are listed in your app with the words “To Go” at the end of the restaurant name.

To start your order,

1. Click on the “+” on the bottom of the home screen of the My Disney Experience app.
2. Then, click “Order Food”.
3. Alternatively, click on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of your My Disney Experience app.
4. Click on “Mobile Food Orders”.
5. Then “Create New Order”.

The first thing you will need to do is pick an arrival time window. The first available time window will be the default time but if you click on “More Times” to the right, you can see later times. Time windows are 30-minute windows up until restaurant closure. I highly recommend you use the later time windows to your advantage – you can monitor your progress in the parks or know when you are about to get on a bus back to your resort to order your meal and have it cooking as soon as you are ready to eat.

Next, it is time to pick your meal. At the top of the screen, it will give you your restaurant and location. Categories are listed if you don’t wish to scroll down. Important to note is that one of the categories is Allergy-Friendly options. Allergy-friendly options focus on single allergies, so if you have multiple allergies, in-person orders are available.

If your entrée comes with a choice of side, options will be listed. Next, further customize your meal – include some items, exclude others, have items on the side. If any customizations are a separate cost, that will be listed with the price as part of the “Add” button so you always know what your meal is costing. Once you have customized your item, at the top of the screen, select the “+ Add” button and it will go into your cart to continue your purchase. You can view your order or choose the shopping bag in the top right corner once you are ready to pay. Important to note is that drinks and snacks are separate items from your purchase.

Once in your shopping cart, you have the option to modify your order or review the order summary to continue to the payment screen. For guests who are Annual Passholders or Disney Vacation Club members, discounts will be reflected on your payment screen as applicable, based on the entries in your My Disney Experience account.

The payment screen allows a few different types of payment – Disney Gift Cards, Disney Rewards Redemption Cards, Credit Cards, or Debit Cards. The default payment is any credit or debit card stored in your My Disney Experience profile but you can choose any of these payment methods.

After payment, continue in the parks until it is time to pick up your order. When you are ready to eat, go back to your app, click on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of your My Disney Experience app, click on “Mobile Food Orders”, and your current order(s) will appear. Click the button to let them know you are ready for your meal. Your meal is then quickly prepared and the app will let you know which of the pickup windows has your meal available. Find a table and enjoy the easiest way of ordering your meals at quick-service locations!
