If you have not had the opportunity to experience Beaches and Cream, add it to your bucket list!  Beaches and Cream is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort near the Stormalong Bay pool! If you are visiting Epcot or Hollywood Studios, it is a quick walk or boat ride, or you can take a bus from Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs.

Upon entering the restaurant, it feels like a time warp to a 50’s soda shop!  There is limited table seating, but we have enjoyed sitting at the counter! Not only is it a unique experience, but the counter seating is a front row view for watching the creation of the amazing ice cream creations!

I would describe the menu as classic comfort food.  Delicious burgers, grilled cheese, tomato bisque, and chicken salad to name just a few.  The classic sides include French fries, onion rings, soup, and chili. They have specialty fries as well with the cheese and bacon fries being my family's favorite.

The star of the show is the amazing dessert options.  There are traditional brownies a la mode, strawberry shortcake, milk shakes, floats, and an array of sundaes to appease everyone!  Did someone say they have adult hard soda’s and floats? Yes they do! Imagine a float with Not Your Father’s Root Beer and vanilla ice cream!! The kids meals include a scoop of ice cream and even those come with an extra special touch! If you are looking for a unique experience and are visiting with a group of people, order the kitchen sink!  It is served in a miniature version of a kitchen sink and includes scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip. Then it is smothered with every topping they have and an entire can of whip cream!! It can also be prepared in a chocolate lovers or Neapolitan version! Each kitchen sink is celebrated with the lights turned down and the Cast Members announce to the entire restaurant what is included in the mini mountain of deliciousness!

Reservations are a must and often hard to obtain.  Never fear, they offer many items as a to-go option.  There are tables and chairs located just outside the restaurant for you to enjoy your treats.  Disney recently announced that Beaches and Cream Soda shop will be closed for refurbishment starting August 25, 2019 through this winter. During the renovation a satellite location will be set up for guests to enjoy delicious ice cream at the resort.
