Our house is a Chicago Bears football household through and through so we had
already planned a trip in January not thinking the Bears would still be alive and playing.
Imagine our excitement when our already-planned January Disney trip just happened to
line up with a playoff run. After years of waiting, the Bears went on an incredible winning
streak and suddenly found themselves in the NFC Divisional Round against the Los
Angeles Rams, right in the middle of our vacation.

Watching the game Watching the game

Of course, there was no question. We had to find the perfect place to watch! Tucked
inside Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Rix Sports Bar & Grill turned out to be exactly
what we were looking for. We walked in without a reservation and were pleasantly
surprised to only wait about 15 minutes before grabbing seats at the bar. The place was
buzzing with fellow Bears fans, instantly creating that “we’re all in this together” kind of
energy.

The atmosphere was everything you’d hope for—lively, loud, and full of team spirit. The
food and drinks hit the spot, making it the perfect setup for an unexpected playoff watch
party right in the middle of Disney magic.

Even though the Bears came up just short in a tough, hard-fought game, the experience
itself was a total win. Sharing those moments with other fans—highs, lows, and
all—made it unforgettable.

If your trip happens to overlap with a big game, go ahead and make a reservation at
Rix. Bar seating is first come, first served, and fills up quickly when there’s something
big on. If you’re not staying at Coronado Springs, it’s still easy to get there. Just hop on
Disney transportation from a park or Disney Springs, or take a quick Lyft.

Because sometimes, the best Disney moments aren’t the ones you plan, they’re the
ones that surprise you! And mixing a little football with your vacation? That’s a kind of
magic all its own.
