Enjoying incredible libations in Disney World is something every guest (who visits and appreciates exploring new drinks), should have the opportunity to experience.  There are many locations that offer drinks on the property, you just have to know where to find them.

A single blog cannot list all available options, so this one will highlight a popular set of locations… the resorts along the monorail loop outside the Magic Kingdom!  These three deluxe resorts each have their own unique lounges to enjoy. For our guests 21 years and older, your next visit should factor in time to make a trip around this loop!

Starting at The Contemporary Resort, make a stop at the Outer Rim!  It is located on the 4th floor next to Chef Mickey and Contempo Café.  Grab a window seat to enjoy the views of Bay Lake.  With an array of wine, specialty cocktails, and beer and cider, there is something for everyone to enjoy.  This lounge is open from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

The Pina Colada is an excellent choice for those who enjoy a frozen delicious drink…it is truly a guest favorite!  The Bahama Mama is another choice for rum lovers. This one is served on the rocks.

Next up is Trader Sam’s at The Polynesian Village Resort.  This location does not open until 3:00 PM. What’s great about this lounge is that you can get amazing drinks AND enjoy appetizers.  You have the choice of sitting in the Grog Grotto (inside), which is a uniquely decorated tropical tiki bar that you will not soon forget.  You can also enjoy the fresh air on the Tiki Terrace if you choose. The food from the Grog Grotto is available here as well. In the evening you can enjoy live music.

Want a less fruity cocktail? Try the Dark & Tropical Stormy.  For beer lovers, a beer flight is a great choice. They feature the Kona Beer Flight from Kona, Hawaii.

The last stop, and my personal favorite, is Enchanted Rose at The Grand Floridian.  This lounge, inspired by Beauty and the Beast, is breathtaking. It opens at 1:00 PM, but appetizers are not offered until after 5:00 PM.  It is located on the same floor the monorail lets you off at. Sit at the bar or enjoy one of their many tables throughout the lounge.

Any martini drinkers?  There are 6 to choose from.  The French Rose Martini was outstanding!  The Salty Dog is for vodka lovers with a hint of grapefruit.  By far, my absolute favorite drink is the Island Rose! The taste and smell (yes, it smells like a flower) were enough to make this drink worth the visit to this already gorgeous lounge.

Whether you are looking to get out of a busy park for the afternoon or looking for an evening of drinks and enjoying the company of those you are with, these locations are all must-dos!  A tour of the lounges along the monorail adds a relaxing and adult element to your vacation. The array drinks they offer are of true Disney quality!
