Combine Disneyland and Christmas and what do you get? One of the most magical, spectacular, beautiful Christmas experiences that your family can ever enjoy!

Starting with checking into your Disneyland resort hotel, each resort is decked out with boughs of holly and Christmas trees reflecting the resort’s own theme including the sea, the woodlands, and adventure. Stop by the Grand Californian to see a huge gingerbread house version of the hotel and sit by the fire while enjoying some of the most amazing hot chocolate you’ll ever taste at the limited hot chocolate stand located in the lobby.

Disneyland Park welcomes you with a 60 foot tall Christmas tree covered with 2000 ornaments and almost 75,000 lights! During the day the tree is beautiful but when night falls and the tree lights up your breath will be taken away. Rivaling the tree’s lights is Sleeping Beauty’s castle which appears as a shimmering ice castle and stands as a beautiful foreground for Disney’s “Believe… In Holiday Magic”, Disney’s Christmastime fireworks show. Be sure to get there early for the fireworks as Main Street’s best viewing locations fill up well before the start of the show. When the fireworks end, stay in your spot and look up – you will become enthralled to see it’s snowing in California! Disneyland Imagineers have two attraction overlays that are set up during the Christmas season. For both the Halloween and Christmas seasons, the Haunted Mansion celebrates “The Nightmare Before Christmas” with jack-o- lanterns and wreaths, completely transforming the ride. “it’s a small world” is also transformed during the holiday season with celebrations from around the world coming to life in each scene. Be sure to get a FastPass for both of these overlays as the standby lines are quite long.

California Adventure Park headlines the holidays with its Festival of Holidays. Festival of Holidays is inspired by festivals of traditions from around the world and features musicians and dancers, Disney characters, festive food market booths, and a meet and greet with Santa himself! CarsLand is another favorite area of guests with its Christmas decorations and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree. Sing along to your favorite Christmas tunes as you swing on the tractor dance floor. At the end of your day in California Adventure Park, be sure to watch World of Color – Season of Light. In World of Color, hundreds of fountains dance to holiday music from around the world while holiday scenes from your favorite Disney and Pixar movies are displayed on the water mist screen.

Christmas holiday celebrations in Disneyland begin early in November and continue through the very beginning of January. Contact your Me and the Mouse Travel agent today to make sure you don’t miss out on making Christmas memories with your family!

Christmas is always a special time of year. When you add in being at Walt Disney World in Florida during this time of year, you get something extra special and magical. This winter, Hollywood Studios is transforming into an enchanted winter wonderland. It’s going to be filled with new Disney twists and characters.

Taking place from November 9th through December 31 st , guests will get wrapped up in the season as snow falls and the lights twinkle on Sunset Boulevard. Not only will all of the billboards change to tell a tale of iconic characters sharing their love for the season, but the ominous Hollywood Tower Hotel, a.k.a. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, magically transforms bringing to life the characters’ stories. Some of these stories include Mickey and Minnie reminiscing about a hometown Christmas, Toy Story characters guessing which new toys are coming this Christmas, Olaf pining over his holiday wish as music from Frozen plays in the background.

The only thing that could make the happenings on Sunset Boulevard complete would be a visit with the big guy in red. Well, consider that checked off your list! At Once Upon a Time store, you’ll find Old Saint Nick greeting good girls and boys. Be sure to visit with him before Christmas, as he’ll only be available from November 9th to December 24th!

On the other side of the Boulevard, Echo Lake will also be getting a merry makeover. It will be decorated with extra-large ornaments, colorful garlands and a giant Christmas tree centered in the water. Dinosaur Gertie will even be donning some festive attire!

A perfect way to wrap up your winter wonderland experience at Hollywood Studios is to make your reservations for the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Dessert Party! Indulge in a jolly spread of specialty sweets and sips before settling in to watch a Santa-sized spectacular from a reserved viewing area. Relish holiday-inspired snacks, delicious desserts, wine, beer, specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages—and mingle with a VIP Disney Character.

You’ll then be able to enjoy 2 shows from your reserved viewing area, Disney’s Movie Magic and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, a holiday special hosted by elves Wayne and Lanny From Prep & Landing. They feature state of the art projections, iconic music, fireworks and special effects. Disney’s Movie Magic builds to a festive finale that must be seen and heard to be believed.

As you’ve read, Hollywood Studios is going to be one of the merriest places to be this holiday season. It will be sure to add more magic to an already magical experience. It’s one not to miss!

New this year to Hollywood Studios is Sunset Seasons Greetings.  As dusk settles over Hollywood Studios Sunset Boulevard, the lights of Christmas will start to twinkle and snow will begin to fall.  Billboards will come into motion and the “Tower of Terror” will transform as Disney characters start to tell stories of Christmases past, excitement over gifts, foods of the holiday, and beautiful Christmas sights.  Special characters joining this event include: Mickey and Minnie, Toy Story Toys, Olaf, and the Swedish Chef.

Another Christmas celebration is Jingle Bell Jingle Bam.  This incredible night time extravaganza uses the technology of projections, fireworks, and holiday music to tell the story of how Kris Kringle is rescued by stars of Disney’s Prep and Landing.  Another option with the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam holiday show is to take part in the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam Holiday party.  Talk to your travel specialist about adding a reservation onto your package and you will be able to dine on holiday sweets and drinks while enjoying the nighttime show in a special viewing area.
