  • Fun Ways to Count Down to your Disney Vacation

1/19/2021 • Cruises, Disneyland, Tips, Walt Disney World • You booked your Disney vacation over six months ago. The anticipation is unbearable! Here are some fun ways to help your kids (and you) count down to the magical day!   1. Make a paper chain. Remember counting down to Christmas using those? Use Mickey colors or favorite princess colors. 2. Watch Disney movies. One week before the trip, stack up seven movies, and watch one each night. This will help the kids countdown the days and get reacquainted with the characters. 3. Mickey Dry erase board. Print off a Mickey-themed picture and place it in a cheap frame with glass. Use a dry eraser marker to count the days down. 4. Paper bag surprise. A week before your trip, fill a paper bag with a Disney goody such as stickers, autograph books, penny bags for the penny-press, spending money, etc. Staple each bag and number the bag. Let the […]

  • The “Perfect” Age for Disney

1/15/2021 • Tips, Walt Disney World • I grew up going to Disney World. My parents took me, my brother, and two sisters multiples times while we were young. We went at different times and when we were of different ages. The first time my brother (the youngest of the four of us) made the trip was when he was 4 years old. During that visit, I was 12 and it never crossed my mind if Jared was old enough to go or could have gone when he was younger. Fast forward a bunch of years. Just 10 weeks after I gave birth to my second child, my husband had a work trip taking him to Florida so the kids and I tagged along and we took them to Disney.  Some of my friends and family said my baby boy was too young while others said no you are fine. That is a question that so many […]

  • Catch a Big Wave at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

10/10/2019 • Walt Disney World • For the last 25 years, Disney guests have been splashing around at one of the greatest overlooked experiences on Disney property - Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!  Disney is known for its great theming and Typhoon Lagoon does not disappoint. The details show evidence of the island paradise once wiped out by a typhoon; most notably, Miss Tilley’s shipwrecked shrimp boat on the top of Mount Meyday which erupts into a geyser every 30 minutes. Typhoon Lagoon is home to a wide range of “mild to wild” water attractions, and is a great place to cool off during the hottest Disney summer months. At the center of the park is the surf pool, which is the largest man-made wave pool in North America.  The huge waves of the surf pool is one of the biggest draws to Typhoon Lagoon. Want to learn how to surf like a pro? Guests can before park […]

Character dining is very popular and can be booked up to 180 days in advance of your arrival. As a Me and The Mouse client, your Travel Specialist is happy to make all your dining reservations for you. (Please note that characters are subject to change without notice). 3/28/2024 • Reviews, Walt Disney World • Nestled in the Valley of the Mo'roa on the moon of Pandora, explorers are invited on a mystic journey down the Na'vi River. At the water's edge, explorers will board small reed boats to begin their journey.  As your travel begins, you are met by a Na'vi warrior, who grants you passage into the rainforest and your eyes are open the wonderment of Pandora. A spectacular bioluminescent rainforest surrounds you as you discover exotic flora and the sounds of Pandoran creatures in the distance.   As the voyage continues, you hear music in the distance and encounter unique creatures, like viperwolf, who seem to be traveling down river with you as you in search of the Na'vi "Shaman of Songs". • Caramel Confections at the Karamell-Küche

5/16/2017 • Reviews, Tips, Walt Disney World • Looking for something sweet while at Epcot? Caramel Confections at the Karamell-Küche" Nestled inside the quaint village-like setting of Germany at Epcot's World Showcase is one of my favorite treasures...Karamell-Küche {Caramel Kitchen}. This charming confectionary is a "must-do" on every trip to EPCOT.  The rich smell of Carmel entices you in as you walk by the front door.  Guests are immediately greeted with the smell of the fresh caramel popcorn that is being made in the store.  Don't be afraid of the line.  It will move fast and the wait is definitely worth it!!!  At quick glance, many will see the caramel popcorn identified as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.  While I highly recommend this use of your snack credit, don't think you are limited to just the savory hot caramel popcorn.  As you wait your turn, you will get a glimmer of the delicious, heavenly treats that are […]

1/30/2024 • Reviews, Walt Disney World • If you are looking for something literally “off the beaten path” on your next Walt Disney World vacation, your search is over! The Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is perfect for the younger crowd and is the perfect place for memory making! Being a local Floridian people think that we go to Disney every day. I’m sure that if it was up to my daughter we would!  However, in reality, and for the sake of the Magical experience becoming commonplace, we treat every trip like a mini vacation.  We stumbled upon the Tri-Circle-D Ranch on one of our many “staycations”.  My family of five found Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to be perfect. Our cabin was a great fit for all five of us. Our cabin had a full kitchen and an eating area both inside and outside.  It had it all, from the rustic […]
