  • What’s So Special About Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort?

4/7/2017 • Tips, Walt Disney World • There are a lot of choices when trying to determine where to stay during your next Walt Disney World vacation.  There’s also a lot of opinions that your friends and family have about where you should stay during your next Walt Disney World vacation.  Sometimes, you’ll hear that you’ll save a lot of money and that it will be a lot less hassle to stay somewhere that’s not a Disney Resort on Disney property.  While they are trying to be helpful, there are actually a lot of reasons as to why you should stay at a Disney Resort on Disney property. Some of the reasons to stay at a Disney resort on Disney property are: 25 different resort options Complimentary transportation to and from Orlando’s International Airport and from your Disney resort to the parks. {Yes, I know this is a great perk!!} Early access to FastPass+ Planning Extra Magic […]

  • A Different Way to View WDW Fireworks

4/6/2017 • Tips, Walt Disney World • “The perfect spot to view the Magic Kingdom Fireworks”... is a very subjective opinion. For those who have seen Wishes before, they might suggest to you, “Why not…”: Main Street by The Plaza Restaurant?  The Hub?  The Rose Garden? Tomorrowland Terrace? Main Street USA near the Train Station?  Liberty Square bridge?  These are all amazing spots...but I’m suggesting you take a different and more adventurous approach to your fireworks viewing experience!   ***this is a suggestion for those who have seen the fireworks before, or don’t feel like grabbing a spot early to view them in their entirety***   First, check the times guide to see when the evening Fireworks will be offered the day you will be visiting the Magic Kingdom. “Wishes a Nighttime Spectacular” will be offered until May 11, 2017. Then, starting May 12, 2017, the new show “Happily Ever After” will debut!   Second, arrange a Fast […]

  • Do I like Walt Disney World or Disneyland better????

5/3/2016 • Disneyland, Walt Disney World • My family just returned home from our very FIRST Disneyland vacation! Between having been a cast member at Walt Disney World and family vacations I have been to Walt Disney World many times. Upon our return from Disneyland the question on the lips of many friends, family, clients, chiropractor, pastor… has been “So do you like Walt Disney World or Disneyland better”? I will be honest I may have been a little…okay a lot biased with my love for Walt Disney World. I knew I would enjoy our time at Disneyland BUT I wasn’t expecting to LOVE Disneyland as much as I now do!!! My family stayed on property at the Disneyland Hotel and I was thrilled with how close it was to everything!!! Unlike, Walt Disney World where they have many, many, many onsite hotels to choose from Disneyland has 3 on property resorts. The 3 on property resorts are: […]

  • Missing a Fast Pass Attraction

9/3/2015 • Walt Disney World • Missing Fast Pass Attractions Due to Ride Closures Did you ever wonder what happens to your pre-selected FastPasses (FPs) in the event the ride is down or not running during your scheduled return time? There is no need to worry….Disney is on top of it.  If you are scheduled for a FastPass through My Disney Experience (one of your 3 pre-selected FastPasses) and you arrive during your scheduled hour window, but the ride is down during that time, Disney will send an email notifying you.  They will also put an “invisible” FastPass in your My Disney Experience.  It is considered an “invisible” fastpass because it will not prevent you from getting another FP at the FP+ Kiosk once your original FP’s are used or their times are expired. For Example, assume this is your FP day: 11:00 AM  - 12:00 PM Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid […]

  • Rider Switch

10/29/2014 • Walt Disney World • Taking a smaller child to Disney World who might not be able to ride the rides that you want to ride? Never fear, the legendary service of Disney has come to the rescue! Introducing “Rider Switch.” What is RS exactly and how does it work? RS is an option Disney offers to families with children below height limits for rides, which allows the family to wait in line only once when taking turns babysitting the vertically-challenged family member. Here’s how it works: the entire family gets in the standby line for a ride (unless you have Fastpasses for the ride, in which case you would get in the Fastpass line). Stop and talk to the first Cast Member you see working the ride and tell them you want to do the RS. The members of the family who want to ride first go ahead, and the person who stays behind […]
