I have loved visiting Walt Disney World in all four seasons. I especially love Fall when I can experience Halloween or Christmas in the parks. However, my absolute favorite time of the year to visit the parks is that sweet spot in January and February – the holidays are over and you can finally breathe again, life quiets down a little, and you can enjoy a little “you” time again. That’s what this time of the year feels like for me at Walt Disney World. Crowds have calmed down, allowing you to enjoy the parks with a little more wiggle room between you and fellow guests The weather is no longer hot and humid. January thru March see average temps in the mid-70s. As is always the case in Florida, there is some rain, but it’s well past hurricane season. Starting around mid-January, it’s no longer peak season, and you’ll […]

Epcot is in full bloom every spring during my favorite time of year: The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! From now until July 5th, guests from all over the world can experience the sights, smells, tastes, and sounds of Epcot in this sense-indulging experience. Epcot is never more beautiful than during the Flower and Garden Festival. Character topiaries not only greet you at the park entrance but can be found all over Future World and World Showcase. Fan favorites like Mickey and Minnie, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Anna and Elsa, and many more are arranged beautifully with various plants and flowers. My personal favorite is the Beauty and the Beast display in France. Not only do they look gorgeous, but the aroma is every bit as tantalizing. There are more than 100 topiaries all over Epcot, making for some wonderful photo opportunities. Tip: Make sure you purchase Memory Maker if you are […]

The world of Disney is ever-changing, and 2020 will be no exception for the Walt Disney World Resort! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge - Star Wars fans and even guests who thought they weren’t Star Wars fans are raving about this new 13-acre land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From flying the Millenium Falcon, grabbing an intergalactic drink at Oga’s Cantina, or fighting alongside the rebels on Rise of the Resistance, this land has so much to see, do, and explore! Don’t forget to shop for special treats, try some out-of-this-world foods, and even build your own droid or lightsaber! You can also play along on Disney’s Play app to become even more immersed in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disney After Hours Events - Disney has extended After Hour Events at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. After Hours events allow guests to explore the theme parks late at […]

During the holiday season, the aroma of spices and sugar fill the air around Walt Disney World. Each year for the past 18 years, Disney’s pastry chefs have constructed a life size house made of gingerbread, icing and decorations in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. This Victorian house stands 16 ft tall in the main lobby and is a remarkable sight. It is undeniable the feeling one gets when first seeing this life size child’s treat. Memories of childhood Christmas traditions come flooding back as you walk around the house taking in all the details. This life size structure is home to a small confectioner shop where sweet treats and bake goods are sold. The shop is open from 10:00am to 10:00pm daily. Grab a sweet treat of gingerbread cookies, iced gingerbread shingles, chocolates, peppermint bark or an assortment of other sweet treats. Pastry chefs start working on the […]
