Woohoo!! Your cruise is booked but now you are wondering how you’re going to get to Port Canaveral. No worries - we're here to help! It is highly recommended that you fly in at least one day prior to your cruise! This may impact the means of transportation you chose. Here are a few options to consider. Disney Cruise Line Transportation Disney Cruise Line shuttles passengers from the airport (MCO) to the port. The cost of the ride is $35/person each way, however, it only runs the day of embarkation and debarkation. If you are flying in the night before and staying at a local hotel and are utilizing this option, I would suggest staying near the airport. The Hyatt Regency is located inside the airport and will be an easy elevator ride down to the bus. Otherwise, a hotel that provides shuttle service to and from the airport is […]

Taking a vacation at sea does not mean it will be a vacation without your daily gourmet coffee. Disney Cruise Line has the Cove Café, which is an adult-only location on each of their cruise ships which offers gourmet coffees such as lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, and hot tea. One of my favorite ways to start the day on a Disney Cruise is to stop in and grab a pastry and an Americano. This is also a great place to try something different from your typical routine! You can find the Cove Café, on the Disney Magic and Wonder, on Deck 9, and if you're on the Dream and Fantasy, it is located on Deck 11 adjacent to the adult pool. The Cove Café isn’t just for morning coffee and breakfast treats. You can visit it all day long for different delightful treats! Throughout the day, they offer snacks and desserts […]

I am not a runner…at all…but that didn’t stop me from joining friends in my first runDisney marathon weekend! Whether you are up every morning for that morning run, or if you simply want to experience a runDisney event, here are several reasons to love runDisney races! The Challenge! Hopefully, all races are a challenge no matter your level of experience. For this girl, I’ll admit I didn’t train nearly enough knowing what I do now. Disney recommends a pace time of 15 minutes or under per mile whether you run or walk {or a combination of both}. “Balloon Ladies” {and sometimes Balloon Men!} keep the pace from the back and encourage you to keep going. If you fall behind, you will eventually get picked up and taken to the finish. I was able to stay ahead of them, but I saw faces of defeat on those who were not […]

Are you looking for a new way to experience Walt Disney World on your next vacation? I’d like to recommend spending a day at Animal Kingdom Lodge. This resort is a destination unto itself with most activities are available to all guests and activities are available from morning until after sunset. You can view the animals on the savanna throughout the day and into the evening hours. There are multiple overlooks of the savannas at both Jambo House and Kidani Village. Guides will teach you about wildlife and the African culture. After sunset, night vision goggles will allow you to see the animals from a new perspective. The String of Memories is a favorite activity of children {and parents} that teaches them about African culture and wildlife conservation in a fun and memorable way. You will receive a unique bead as your reward for completing each activity. If you choose to […]

On May 27, 2017 (The opening day for Pandora) lines for the rides were 250+ minutes. Thankfully, we are Walt Disney World Annual Pass Holders. We had the opportunity to sign up for an EXCLUSIVE Pass Holder Preview that took place a week before the land opened to the public. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. The “land” is like none other at Walt Disney World. As soon as you step in, you feel as if you are on another planet or 4.4 light years away. We were able to explore the “planet” and ride both The Flight of Avatar and The Na’vi River Journey without a wait. You will be entertained on your way to the ride. As the line queues themselves are full of incredible sites. The Flight of Avatar begins with a process in which an “Avatar” is made for each rider. This will link you to a “Banshee” […]

Learn all about The World of Avatar! Alpha Centauri Expeditions {ACE} has made it possible for humans to explore Pandora. Unique expeditions and breathtaking views are around every corner in the Valley of Mo'ara on Pandroa. Pandora features floating mountains, gentle waterfalls, bioluminescent rainforest and amazing, flying creatures known as Banshees or "Ikran" by the Na'vi. Stepping into the land of Mo'ara, guests are immediately transformed by the beauty of the flora that surrounds them. The plant life is diverse in both color and size, as well as in purpose. For example, Vein Pods act as sponges and help maintain stability in the environment. Puffball Trees are important plants on Pandora for detoxifying the atmosphere. Panopyra resemble Earth's jellyfish and captures water and minerals from the dew and fog. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with different elements in nature as well. For example, when you rub a native plant, the Flaska Reclinata, it releases its spores […]
