On my most recent trip to Aulani - A Disney Resort and Spa, we booked the Majestic Circle Island Tour! We wanted to see as much as we could of O’Ahu, without getting lost, worrying about entry fees, or thinking we would miss out on something special. This tour ticked all our boxes! We were lucky enough to book a tour after we checked in, however, it is recommended to book this tour in advance - especially if handicap or other special accommodations are needed.
The Majestic Circle Island Tour boasts: “Discover all of O'ahu's grandeur on an adventure that takes you through natural beauty and dramatic history.” Your family, ages 3 and up, are able to participate in this adventure, with a local guide who will educate you as you travel throughout the island. Your driver will pick you and your group up outside the resort lobby - and will be dropped back at Aulani - A Disney Resort and Spa at the conclusion of your tour!
Your shuttle may stop at the remaining Ko’Olina resorts to fill your seats. You’ll give your lunch order - as it is included with your booked tour - for a wonderful restaurant at the Polynesian Cultural Center market. And then begin by traveling to Waikiki, and heading around the island - visiting historical landmarks, seeing wildlife, culture, food, and hiking!
E Noa Tours was our guide for the day. We experienced the winds of Pali Road and Lookout, felt the quiet grandeur of the Byodo-In Buddhist Temple (where we fed some very hungry Koi). We passed by Kualoa Ranch and saw the mountains and valleys where Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and John Locke would trek to escape ‘the Others’....Saw local communities, beaches, Chinaman’s Hat island and the Polynesian Visitors Center. We sampled local macadamia nuts, fresh fruits and seafood. We swam in a waterfall at Waimea Valley! And ended our tour with authentic, and freshly chopped, Pineapple Dole Whips at the Dole Plantation.
We were told some things were not accessible due to weather, or because we traveled in December. We were gone for 8-ish hours. This tour could last up to 10 hours! So please be aware of that time frame when booking this adventure! It was worth every penny, and every minute. Our guide was wonderful and really brought every stop to life. The convenience of the resort pick up and drop off was a huge bonus as well.
