Walt Disney World is an amazing place for top notch cuisine. From five star restaurants to quick service dining, there is something that everyone will love. I have a long list of my favorite restaurants that I go back to every time when I am at Disney. One place in particular that I love is Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom. The one item that I always order is their famous Clam Chowder soup. It’s full of rich flavors and is milk based so it’s not so full of broth. It’s a hearty soup and perfect for lunch. It’s been a staple at Liberty Tree Traven for years and guests love it. Here’s a quick tip- if you don’t have time to eat at Liberty Tree for a long lunch, head over to Columbia Harbour House for a very similar style soup! Liberty Tree Tavern New England Clam Chowder Soup: […]

Let’s face it, packing your luggage for a vacation can be absolutely overwhelming! However, don't forget to pack your day bag- it's just as important! Here are few ideas for what to pack and also how to keep your bag safe while at the parks. Most of my clients, including myself, carry a backpack to the parks. It’s handy and has lots of pockets for easy accessibility for things like water, sunscreen, etc. It’s nice that you can throw it over both shoulders to balance out the weight. Keep in mind, that security will be looking through your back… including all of the pockets which could slow down your entrance time into the parks! Disney allows you to bring your bags on all the rides. At Universal, they offer free lockers that you can store your bag while riding. Here’s a detailed list of what I pack for the […]

I had the pleasure of eating at San Angel Inn with my family on our recent trip to Walt Disney World. San Angel Inn, located in Epcot, is a Mexican restaurant modeled after the Mayan ruins. Inside the pyramid you will find the restaurant and also shops with specialty items including hand crafted merchandise and a fun water ride. Upon arrival, we were seated right next to the water so we could watch the riders pass by. The ambiance is absolutely adorable. The restaurant itself is fairly small and cozy. You feel as if you are inside a café at night as each table is lit by a latern. The food at San Angel Inn is amazing. I ordered the steak tacos which were full of flavor. My children selected the chicken fajitas, “kids style”. This restaurant offers a nice variety of options. They were very accommodating to special dietary requests. […]

California Grill is located at the top floor of the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. With floor to ceiling windows, it offers beautiful panoramic views of Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon. It also boasts a rooftop terrace to view the fireworks in the evening including music piped in from the Magic Kingdom! This past July, I ate at California Grill with my family. Upon arrival, we checked in on Floor 2 at the Contemporary Resort. We gave the hostess our cell number and received a text when our table was ready. Once our table was ready, we took a private elevator to the 15th floor. When we got off the elevator, we were immediately greeted by a hostess and seated at our table. The menu offered a wide variety of options. I ordered the oak fire fillet and my husband opted for the seabass. It was absolutely delicious […]

For many young children, to meet their favorite characters and get their autograph is a dream come true! Most families choose an autograph book for characters to sign. Disney sells these books at all their shops both at the resorts and onboard the cruises. Some books even include a spot for pictures to be inserted. The outside designs vary and your child will easily find one they fall in love with. If you adore crafting, you can choose to make your own autograph books and customize them with stickers, die cuts, and even pixie dust sparkles. Be sure to save room for 25-30 characters if you are making your own book so you don’t run out of space. Maybe you’re looking for something different for the characters to sign. Many great ideas include a pillowcase, picture mat, t-shirt, baseball cap, or wall poster. If you choose to have the characters […]
