Universal Orlando has created one of the most comprehensive park apps for your phone that is not only easy to use but allows your next Universal Orlando trip to be filled with more fun for the family as you easily navigate your day-to-day activities.

Most of the app functionality will work without an account but you will want to have an account for your convenience. The main screen starts by allowing you to explore the resort map or you may jump right to the rides, shows, or dining. Choose which park you wish to explore in more detail such as Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, or Volcano Bay and zoom in and out as needed. Within each park, you can use the buttons at the top of the app to specify exactly what you are looking for within the parks. Click on "Ride" and it will show you the current standby time or availability of the virtual line. Click on a "Show" and you’ll see the next show time. Click on "Dine" and you’ll see the restaurant name and a general overview. Some restaurants even allow you to see their menu from the app when you select the restaurant’s name. While CityWalk does not have any rides, it too can be explored for entertainment, dining, and shopping.

Virtual lines are another great addition to the app. This is only accessible when signed into your account. Free for use on select rides including Fast & Furious, Pteranodon Flyers, and Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, you can specify the number of people in your party and time window to experience the ride and skip the standby line. You can have fun in the rest of the parks knowing you don’t have to wait long for these rides once that time window opens up.

Ready to eat? The Universal Orlando app now allows you to order food and drinks from your phone at select locations. Choose the items from the restaurant’s menu, customize the order with toppings, sides, and drinks, and let them know when you want them to prepare your food. The status page will update you when your food is ready to be picked up. You will need a credit card in your account wallet to use this feature.

We all need even basic information for navigating Universal’s theme parks. Park hours, ATM locations, Lost and Found, First Aid, Smoking Permitted Areas, and Service Animal Rest Areas are all located under the Guest Services Menu option. And for those who drive to Universal Orlando, Universal even has a handy reminder for your parking section, level, and row number.

The Universal Orlando Resort app is definitely worth downloading before your next Universal Orlando vacation. Talk to your Me and The Mouse agent about how to plan your next visit and use the app to maximize the fun of your day.
