Going to Walt Disney World on an adult only trip is an experience that must be enjoyed by all Disney fans. While you may miss the children for a few moments, there are some great experiences that you must try with your significant other or best friends. Here are some of my favorite activities on an adult only trip. Jellyrolls This is a dueling piano bar located on the Boardwalk. Jellyrolls is the place to hang out with your friends and enjoy top entertainment. With 2 piano virtuosos taking requests from the audience, grab a drink, make a request, and sing along for an evening filled with fun. Be sure to get there early for a seat as the bar fills to standing by 9pm each night! Also, bring along small bills to give the players for those musical requests. Disney’s Tours Touring Disney’s parks behind the scenes allows guests […]

Choza de Margarita Stand-UPDATED NOVEMBER 13, 2017-Choza de Margarita (originally annouced as Choza Tequila), has officially opened in the Mexico Pavillion in Epcot! Here you will find a variety of iced and frozen Margaritas, Mexican beers, and tapas! For the little ones-a frozen fruit punch! AND the fan-favorite FIESTA MARGARITA IS BACK!! At this time, the dining plan is not accepted, but the offerings are worth the out-of-pocket expense! Enjoy the Mayan-inspired carvings in the queue while deciding what to order! ******** For quite some time, an adult drink of choice in the World Showcase of Epcot was the “Fiesta Margarita” in Mexico. A lovely combination of Lime, Strawberry, and Mango frozen margaritas, all in one glass - perfect for sipping on that hot summer day as you stroll from country to country. It is a potent concoction, and one that was a fan favorite. But in May […]

For our family, having a great breakfast is an essential way to start a busy day in the parks. Our restaurant of choice is the Grand Floridian Café, which is inspired by the seacoast resorts with a Victorian charm. The café has beautiful views of the resort pool and gardens. The café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (or a quick dessert or snack), but it is our go-to restaurant for breakfast for a variety of reasons: It is a nice start to a day we plan on spending at Magic Kingdom no matter which resort we are staying. If you are not staying at the Grand Floridian, it has easy access by taking the bus to Magic Kingdom and hopping on either the monorail or a water taxi. The service is friendly The food is plentiful We have found it an easy choice as a last-minute reservation. We […]

When I first heard Chef Morimoto was opening a restaurant in Disney Springs, I knew immediately that this dining reservation was on the top of my list! The influence of Japanese, Chinese and Korean flavors on the menu pretty much guaranteed Morimoto Asia was sure to become a favorite of mine! This restaurant is located at the Landing in Disney Springs. (It shares an area with Raglan Road that allows you to enjoy the outside entertainment across the way while you wait for your table.) This beautiful restaurant has an amazing menu that anyone should be able to find something they would love. They also have a children’s menu, and there were plenty of families with young ones who all seemed happy. Morimoto has many traditional flavors, House sake, a pretty extensive sushi menu, and several specialty drinks. You’ll need to take some time with the menu. Be sure to […]

Walt Disney World is an amazing place for top notch cuisine. From five star restaurants to quick service dining, there is something that everyone will love. I have a long list of my favorite restaurants that I go back to every time when I am at Disney. One place in particular that I love is Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom. The one item that I always order is their famous Clam Chowder soup. It’s full of rich flavors and is milk based so it’s not so full of broth. It’s a hearty soup and perfect for lunch. It’s been a staple at Liberty Tree Traven for years and guests love it. Here’s a quick tip- if you don’t have time to eat at Liberty Tree for a long lunch, head over to Columbia Harbour House for a very similar style soup! Liberty Tree Tavern New England Clam Chowder Soup: […]

As much as I enjoy the tradition and nostalgia of long-standing attractions at Walt Disney World, I also enjoy trying something new! Somehow, over the many trips, I missed the opportunity to enjoy, until now! I was planning a girls' weekend at the Food and Wine Festival and stumbled upon information about this hidden gem! I was instantly intrigued! We knew this would certainly be at the top of our list! The entrance is just inside to the right in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot. When we arrived, there was a lengthy line, but after all of our research, we knew it was worth the wait. After being in the line for only a minute or two, we realized we were in the line to get a margarita to go! We then noticed there was a cast member near the entrance, and she was seating guests inside. We were immediately seated! […]

After a busy day of exploring the parks, sometimes it’s nice to take a break with a relaxing dinner, unique drinks and great atmosphere. Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar is just the place. Not only does it not take reservations and has a waterfront view, but the menu of eats and drinks are specially themed as the ex-home of Indiana Jones’ side kick. Located in Disney Springs, the family friendly Hanger Bar is for walk-ups only. There are no reservations taken and none needed. While it has a waterfront location, there are plenty of tables inside the building as well as outside on the water. If you’re lucky, you may be able to sit inside the helmet of a scuba diver or sit in the boat that’s on the side of the Hanger Bar that’s lifted above the water. If you are sitting outside, you will be able to take in […]

With all the wonderful kid-friendly dining options at Disney World, why should your family choose to eat at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Resort? The answer is, for the unique cultural dining experience, of course. You won’t find Disney character dining here, but you will have a dining experience with “character.” From the moment you arrive at the Kidani Village lobby at Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort, you will understand what I mean. As you enter, take a moment to take in all Animal Kingdom Lodge has to offer, you will be in awe of the grand lobby with an African safari-theme. It has an inviting, comfortable, casual, warm, and cozy feel the moment you enter. It tends to be a little quieter than some of the resorts and is the perfect place to unwind. Sanaa serves lunch and dinner offering unique themed dining. African cuisine with an Indian flavor is served. Don’t […]

Looking for a delicious table service meal inside the Magic Kingdom? Look no further than one our family’s favorite restaurants, Tony’s Town Square. Inside this charming trattoria located on Main Street USA, you can enjoy your favorite Italian dishes, steaks and delicious desserts. The theming of the restaurant centers around the Disney animated classic, Lady and the Tramp. In the lobby waiting area, children and grown-up kids can enjoy a few minutes of Lady and the Tramp, which plays constantly on the television. Kids can also color Lady and the Tramp coloring sheets while waiting for their table. The restaurant offers three distinct dining areas. In the main dining room, guests will love the fountain of the canine couple, Lady and Tramp, that is the focal point of the room. The main dining room offers comfortable family seating and is reminiscent of a classic New York City, family-owned, Italian eatery. […]

If you headed to the far-east corners of Asia or have plans to explore the savannas of Africa, you will want to stop in Harambe for a delicious meal with your favorite Disney friends at the Tusker House Restaurant as you explore Disney's Animal Kingdom park. It's Perfect for the Entire Family! This character meal is one of our family's "must-dos" every time we visit Animal Kingdom park. The meal is hosted by Safari Donald Duck and you will find more Disney friends, typically Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy, all dressed up in their Safari outfits there too. We have always found the character interaction at this restaurant to be fantastic and not rushed. The buffet is 1 table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan and advance dining reservations are highly recommended. The Tusker House is a fantastic choice for any family! Their dishes include family favorites, as well as specialty […]
