California Grill is located at the top floor of the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. With floor to ceiling windows, it offers beautiful panoramic views of Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon. It also boasts a rooftop terrace to view the fireworks in the evening including music piped in from the Magic Kingdom!
This past July, I ate at California Grill with my family. Upon arrival, we checked in on Floor 2 at the Contemporary Resort. We gave the hostess our cell number and received a text when our table was ready. Once our table was ready, we took a private elevator to the 15th floor. When we got off the elevator, we were immediately greeted by a hostess and seated at our table.
The menu offered a wide variety of options. I ordered the oak fire fillet and my husband opted for the seabass. It was absolutely delicious and our waitress did a great job with wine pairings for our meals. {If you like sushi, make sure to try the dragon roll. It was the best!
When the fireworks began, the lights in the restaurant dimmed and the music could be heard through the speakers. Guests could also go outside to view the fireworks from the rooftop terrace.
This restaurant is a new favorite. The spectacular ambiance, delicious food, and great fireworks entertainment exemplifies Disney and their high standards and quality. California Grill is a signature restaurant and requires two credits from the Disney Dining Plan and a dress code.
