To say that there are some updates happening at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a bit of an understatement.  Disney is not holding anything back with all of the enhancements they are making at this resort! A few years ago, the rooms were reimagined with new, refreshed bedding and décor.  It was also one of the first moderate resorts to be able to accommodate up to 5 guests with the addition of the child size pull down bed in some rooms.  It only seems natural that now it takes on giving the main area an exciting new look.

We’re about a year into these updates and they are coming along pretty quickly.  Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be reimagined with new additions to the resort’s current marketplace, Centertown, including new waterfront dining and retail shopping areas. This centralized location will offer the resort’s guests more convenient access to services, amenities, and dining.

In addition to these updates, Disney is also including Caribbean Beach as a stop along the Disney Skyliner.  This will allow guests to travel high in the sky for a bird’s eye view while you’re transported between Disney’s Hollywood Studios, International Gateway at Epcot, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property, and Disney Riviera Resort.  This is going to be a game changer for how easily it is for guests to get to other parks and resorts quickly.

Now, with all of these enhancements some things have changed at Caribbean Beach.  They’ve moved Centertown outside just outside of their featured pool, Fuentes del Morro.  Centertown includes a souvenir truck, the Banana Bar, and 2 quick service food options, a buffet or a food truck.  They also recently opened up the Spyglass Grill outside of Trinidad South.  It too is a walk up quick service location that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Featured on their menu are popular American foods infused with classic Caribbean flavors.

Like we said, there are a lot of Magical Enhancements happening at Disney’s Caribbean Beach.  Disney is always improving on their properties and do so with their guests in mind.  Even though some areas might be closed, there are still several options available for guests so that they are not as inconvenienced.  As Walt Disney said, “When you’re curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.”  I for one, can’t wait to see the finished product and what’s in store next!
