Nighttime shows are a sought-after event in Disney Parks because they are always larger than life and beyond anything most guests will see in any other theme park!  Each of the four Disney parks have their own nighttime show. 20 years ago in October 1998, Hollywood Studios debuted one of its shows that still runs to this day! It is the good versus evil battle we find in Fantasmic!

In this character studded performance, Mickey takes you into his imagination as the forces of good and evil go head to head in one of his dreams.  Unlike other nighttime shows in Disney World, you will get to see so many characters from beloved Disney films… princesses to villains, to heros, to the classic characters…Fantasmic! is prime for guests who want to see so many in one location…you may even see a 40-foot-tall dragon!

With the amphitheater surrounding a lagoon, you’ll experience elements of entertainment coming from multiple angles…from performances on the water with lit up floats and boats, to live performances on the elaborate stage, to fun vibrant colorful costumes, this show has so much going on to keep your attention moving from one place to another.  One of my favorite affects are the water projections along with surprising explosions that fit along with the story. Watch with anticipation as you wait to see if Mickey can defeat the villains in his nightmare in the end. It is non-stop entertainment from start to finish.

The entrance of Fantasmic! is on Sunset Boulevard (between Tower of Terror and Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage theater).

Because this theater is outdoors, it is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.  It usually shows nightly, but check times guides to be certain. On some nights, there’s the possibility of a second show.  On nights with two, the second one is generally less crowded. If you are going to the first show (or the only one that evening), arrive an hour early for a prime seat or no later than 20-30 minutes if prime seating is not a priority.  Please keep in mind, that guest in the first two rows may get a little wet during the performance.

If standing in line is not your thing, consider the amazing option of booking a Fantasmic! Dining Package with one of the participating restaurants in Hollywood Studios.  This attraction also offers the FastPass option as well as a Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP viewing experience.  Work with your Me and the Mouse Travel Specialist to see which option is the best fit for you and your family.

There is a reason this show is still being performed almost nightly, 20 years later!  You do not want to miss your chance to see what the hype is all about.
