1...2...3...Say Cheese! As a huge fan of the Memory Maker photo package, I want to be sure to get some fun pictures from the rides that offer PhotoPass at Walt Disney World. Pictures are great memories of a vacation and these rides will give you enjoyable moments to look back on. Be prepared for that picture perfect moment! Magic Kingdom Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – the room right before this picture is near the end of the ride and has a video of Zurg’s ship moving from side to side as you gather your last points. Your vehicle locks […]

At Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Orlando, most major attractions have a strict ‘no loose items’ policy - and that encompasses change, wallets, purses of any kind, backpacks, sunglasses, hats, etc. There are a few solutions to this: asking a party member to hold everything while you enjoy the attraction is one solution, but a better one is to utilize Short-Term Lockers. Various locations throughout the theme parks, strategically located close to attractions with these requirements, will house banks of lockers with a digital kiosk. Using the kiosk allows you to ‘rent’ a short-term locker by either using […]

Character Dining is a great way to enjoy an amazing meal, as well as meet and interact with your favorite Disney friends without waiting in line. Our character dining experiences have always been full of treasured memories. Once, my 6 year old received a marriage proposal from Drizzella at 1900 Park Fare. Stitch insisted on sitting down and holding my 6 month old son while we enjoyed breakfast at Ohanas'. And yet another child basked in the glow as Chip and Dale argued over which Chipmunk was more loved by my 12 year-old. Before you head to your Character Dining reservation, check […]

The best way to shop! Souvenirs help us to remember our vacation - you get to take a piece of your trip home with you! Kiosks filled with goodies catch your eye, a specialty boutique lures you in, or the smells from the bakery have you lighter than air as the smells make you hover through the streets! Here are some suggestions: Say you’ll “grab it on your way out”...{but you’ll forget} Think “oh maybe the […]

So much food. So little time. We have the perfect plan for you! Today we're discussing how to get the biggest bang for your buck with Disney's dining plan! Let's get started! I know many guests add the plus dining plan to their Disney World package. The plan gives you 1 table service, 1 quick service, and 1 snack credit per person per night stay. You get ALL those credits at the beginning of your trip, meaning you can spend those credits whenever you’d like. Most guests plan to eat one table service meal per day. The benefits are: they […]

I meet people all the time who become excited as soon as they hear I plan Disney vacations, and we’ll immediately start chatting about their dream vacation to Disney World with their children or grandchildren. Many times, though, their expressions will quickly change, and they’ll add, “but my family can’t afford a Disney vacation.” Time and time again, people have told me other family members had spent “$10,000” on a Disney trip, so here is a family standing in front of me who believes that their family of four can never afford to take that dream vacation and travel to […]

On your drive to Orlando, Florida...more often than not, you have been traveling down the Florida Turnpike. If so, you may have also witnessed a sign for Toll/State Road 429. Construction began back in 2000, and it was completed in 2012. So, what is this mystery road and why is it important to my Disney vacation? As a former WDW Cast Member, who actually lived off an exit of the 429, I can say that this toll road was constructed to bypass the headache that is I-4 and the congestion of Downtown Orlando/Universal/Seaworld/I-Drive traffic. State Road 429 exits the Florida […]

Disney Theme Park Shoe Recommendations Something all the travel specialists at Me and The Mouse Travel will suggest to clients heading to Disney theme parks, is to wear comfortable shoes. Our first feature is from Emily Haberl. She recommends a comfortable lightweight Charm Skimmer. Perfect for the vacationer on the go, the Charm Skimmer features a mesh upper with sporty accents, ankle pull tab, mesh lining, Champion's signature Sport Comfort padded […]
