Walt Disney World’s Newest Dining Experience: Toledo Restaurant-Review

On my most recent trip to Walt Disney World, I wanted to make it a trip of new experiences.  As a previous Walt Disney World Cast Member and frequent visitor, I enjoy seeing how they are always evolving. My next few series of blog posts are going to be all about these new experiences and if I would do it again!

To start out my series I want to tell you all about this new hidden gem on the Walt Disney World property.  How many of you like amazing food and drink, a stunning but quiet atmosphere, with a view of the neighboring parks nighttime spectacular shows going off in the distance?  Oh, did I mention this restaurant is somehow only one dining credit on the Disney Dining Plan?

I’d like to introduce you to Toledo one of the newest dining experiences on Disney property.  Toledo is located on the rooftop at the new Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs resort.

Toledo is a dinner-only restaurant and the menu is composed of Tapas, steak, and seafood all with a Spanish flare!  Of the many restaurants I’ve eaten at, Toledo is a one of a kind experience. The small bites are artisanal masterpieces that explode with flavor. From muscles to a Spanish omelet, these one or two-bite appetizers are a must-try and at a cost of only $3 each, it’s worth sampling them all. The Spanish charcuterie board is a nice light tapas. It includes an incredible selection of meats and cheeses as well as crusty bread. The dinner menu continues the culinary experience. I had braised beef with added shrimp. The beef was tender and fell apart as well as amazingly flavorful. The large gulf shrimp were a perfect pairing.

This restaurant has it all from a charming romantic dinner space for 2 to private dining rooms to celebrate special occasions with up to 24 of your closest friends and family. Although Disney does not advertise this as a fireworks viewing location, we were able to see 3 different nighttime shows while dining at our 8:30 pm reservation.  This is a new experience I hope to repeat on my next trip and highly recommend you getting a reservation for yours as well!
