Face Painting at Walt Disney World {Review}

On our family trips to Walt Disney World, we always try to add new activities to our itinerary and one thing my girls have always begged to do is face painting. I’ll admit, this is not something I was looking forward to spending my money on, but I was pleasantly surprised. At around $20+ per encounter, it is a bit pricey; however, it was such a fun experience.

My girls chose to have their faces painted while at Animal Kingdom in the Pandora area. There was no wait when our girls arrived at the kiosk located near the Na’vi River Journey entrance, which was partly why we chose that particular location. There were 2 cast members working this location. There were a lot of styles to choose from including half face and entire face styles.

One of my girls opted for a full face style and the other opted for a half face style.  The designs were very intricate, but the cast members moved quickly and kept the girls engaged the entire time. They even asked questions about our trip and what the girls’ favorite attractions were so far. From start to finish it took a max time of 15 minutes total for both girls to choose a design, be painted, and for me to pay. The face paint lasted the entire day until my daughters were ready to have it cleaned off.

Designs differ by location and park. The best thing about this location is that the face paint glows in the dark just like the rest of Pandora at night. We rode Na’vi River Journey shortly after and their faces glowed on the ride as well. Locations for face painting can be found throughout the parks as well as at Disney Springs.
